The Undead

There’s been a lot of loss and I’ve been watching a lot of TV.  I also believe that some people cannot rest if killed by violence. I believe there is afterlife, and I believe that you can die and come back. Why?  I had that experience as well as my dad.  I don’t remember, but my dad remembers watching people at his bed crying and holding his hand, at the same time, a hand was reaching toward him…

I always found it unpleasant, however, and often distasteful, to allow the figures to remain within the bounds of physiological laws, and at the same time indulge in compositional distortions. It seemed to me that if one physical realm is destroyed for the sake of pictorial necessity, then the artist has the artistic right and the artistic duty to negate the other physical realms as well.
