My Steve muse has been in overdrive lately and apparently, I can art now. Well, he’s been in overdrive in everything but replies, unfortunately. So here, have a sketch of Bucky that Steve apparently drew in 1936. I plan on drawing others. 

I have a little head canon that Buck posed for Steve on several occasions and since he was Steve’s only real friend in WWII he probably drew him the most out of everyone. This is also a shout out to one of my Buckys, @exsergeantbarnes , because we have a long ass rp verse on skype and shit we’ve been doing like crazy, and this is based off that timeline~. ^ w^

“You’re a terrible friend,” Steve huffed, looking slightly annoyed but not actually disliked Barnes for it. The incident was laughable after all, and it was all Steve’s fault for not being careful enough with where he stepped in. He winced slightly when he tried to move his (injured) feet. “Like I said, the room was a disaster when I walked in. I didn’t know there’s a lot of toys scattered along the way and I accidentally stepped into a Lego piece, also stubbed my toe on the drawer when I walked away from that said piece. Not a nice experience at all, and damn does it hurt so much.”

          ❝You might be able to convince the others, but must I remind you how long we’ve known each other?❞ They’ve been friends long enough to know when the other might be feeling off or just not themselves. Steve learned to pick up on the little signs given by his best friend. ❝If you keep this up, you’re only gonna make yourself feel worse.❞ Concern etched in each word.

“I know you like struttin’ your strength all over camp Rogers, but this is just ridiculous.” James flexed his wrists beneath Steve’s grasp, lightly testing his strength, figuring out exactly how much power it would take to break free. Ya’ know, should the need arise. James flashed a half-cocked smile. Bastards grip was ironclad. Never ceased to amaze him.

Steve felt a smirk tug at the corner of his mouth, his grip tightening just a little more as the brunette tugged at his wrists. “Stop fibbin’, Bucky. I don’t have to throw my strength around...” he murmured quietly, glancing from side to side, peering down the alley to ensure the coast was clear of any prying eyes. He looked over at that ugly mug and smiled, pinning the soldier up against the nearest wall. “I saw the way you looked at me back there, sergeant,” the captain teased, leaning in without another moment to waste, pressing a firm kiss to the other’s lips.

4 AM Laundry // closed starter

He had his own schedule and routine every day. But for some reasons, which the reasons were being ‘drinking too much coffee’, Steve couldn’t sleep much today. He tried to get some rest on the night before, but he ended up only got 3 hours sleep and now he was fully awake. Reading a book or sketching didn’t help, so he groaned and got out of his bed, picked up his laundry basket and went out from his flat. 

It was quite chilly and still dark outside, figured since it was still too early in the morning. But the coin laundry downstairs was always open for the residents. He huffed, straightened his jacket and started walking down to the stairs after locking his door. And when he turned around to take another stairs down, Steve bumped into someone and gave out a squeak that could be considered as an embarrassment to any men ever lived. He also dropped his basket instantly, praying it didn’t drop on top of the stranger's foot or something.

“Shit. Jesus fuck—oh my God, I’m—sorry I didn’t mean to bump into you. I thought there’s no one around beside me so I wasn’t looking. I’m really sorry.”

Tony was hurting. His armor was broken and torn to shreds, and his body wasn’t doing much better. But he was near someone familiar- Or at least as familiar as trying to kill someone and then fighting against a God together can be. He dragged himself to where he had been told the other was staying, wincing with every step. God, did he hurt. He was tired, his body getting weaker with each step.

Tony made his way to the ex soldiers door, pounding on it with the hand still covered by the suit. Tony sat himself on the floor, a bit of blood dripping from his mouth. “James- Bucky, it’s Tony. Please- Please open up. I’m hurt- It... I need help.”

A low grunt ripped past James’ lips, the sound quickly devolving into an irked snarl. Cerulean eyes flashed, incredulous, distrustful of the captain’s intent. Cybernetics hummed and clicked, metal fist clenching at his side, prepping for a fight. “..What are you doing?”

“Quiet, be quiet,” Steve hissed out between almost clenched teeth, praying that Bucky wasn’t going to struggle. His hand curled around the shoulder he had pushed against the wall - the flesh shoulder, Steve couldn’t help but notice right in that moment - and his heart was hammering, but he had acted entirely on instinct. There hadn’t been time to do anything else.

So now Steve was standing close to Bucky, could hear the thudding of his heart in his ears and the whirring of the metallic arm, hoping that Bucky could trust him, wouldn’t move, and that the two police officers passing at the end of the street hadn’t heard and wouldn’t notice them.
