I haven't heard anything about Kazuya (Belial's cosplayer) being at Extrafes in Sendai yet, but thankfully a very nice person uploaded his entire appearance at the one two months ago!

Featuring among many other things:

Him taking a flying leap off the stage (to the audience's concern, but he's fine)

Looking around in the crowd for someone to tease

Making the days of various audience members (see above, I won't spoil them)

Absolutely reveling in the cheers AS HE SHOULD

I love how much he uses his sleeves as emphasis! Dating myself here (a lot), but it reminds me of the actor playing Gin in the '00s Bleach Rock Musicals. He'd hide his hands behind his sleeves to look more approachable/emphasize big emotional moments.

Under the robes, he has what I assume are either a) leather opera gloves or b) a leather body suit? He'll be very warm during the winter Fes. :D

Clearly she bested him in a duel for the privilege. Besides, she wanted to match with Vyrn. So I guess I lied about there only being one.

Thanks anon! :D Hours later I'm still processing this...they used part of his and Belial's flashback talk in 000 for it...

Sariel: I want to be an ant... A soldier ant who can fight without thinking at all. Sariel: I don't like thinking on the battlefield... Belial: Don't tell me... that injuring others is painful to you? Sariel: ...

But then when Sariel is fully revealed, Sariel answers with something else! It sounds like he's figured out a way to fight in order to protect others, without sacrificing his pacifism. (Also interesting that the Vyrnwalker feature for non-combat characters is getting closer to reality...I bet he'll be able to participate there too. :D)

Oh, and, I want to spotlight the line Belial says in 000 after Sariel's "..." (italics = emphasis mine):

Belial: This is a surprise. But I think I understand.

Maybe he understands in a "basic empathy" sort of way, maybe it's understanding in the "similar situation" sort of way (he's meant to oversee evolution like Lucifer, not be an ultimate weapon), maybe both? Much to think about!
