Guess it's about time for an update :D

So many things have happened since I last updated. I guess I'll just bullet them:

Water park on Wednesday! It was absolutely fantastic. Best part is I'm going back again on Tuesday with M and D! Can't wait.

Thursday...what did I do? I think I basically just chilled that day. Had lunch with the cousins and Dad and then oh right took the dogs out for their baths at the groomers. They hated me a little bit afterwards but then promptly forgot about it. 

Friday = 西門町 with M! We went and bought our tickets to finally see HP7, and then roamed around and ate dinner at some random place (it was pretty good actually), and then headed in to watch the movie. Definitely cried during the Snape flashback scene..TT__TT damnit...

Today! Started off the day by going to Sogo with I, J, and M for lunch. Then headed over to the old Sogo to go shop for swim trunks for M. Found some cute red ones from Speedo for a good price, too. Then we went over to Breeze Centre to get tickets to see Captain America! I'm glad TW is finally starting to keep up more with US movie release dates. It was alright I guess, though I dozed off for about 5 minutes somewhere in the middle. Then we headed to 公館 to look for iphone cases...but didn't find any ): Instead we ended up going to hotpot there. Walked back to 師大路 and found a bunch of cute ones there at the nightmarket. Then was too pooped to walk or take public transportation so cabbed back home. All in all, an excellent start to the weekend.

Tomorrow will probably be a chill afternoon of watching movies, and then dinner with the family at our family friend's new apartment. Yay (: 

That's all for now. I definitely think I'm spending my time well here. D comes back on Monday night! So apart from the water park again, other plans for next week include clubbing at Luxy on Wednesday since P's crowd has a few tables, and also maybe going to see the Body Worlds exhibit (again).

K the last two aren't really errands...but still.

Also, water park on Wednesday instead of Thursday! This week it'll just be with the cousins/famjam and next week it'll be with friends (:

Three more days!

Three days until Taiwan! Can't wait. 

Dinner tonight with SChu at Petrossian for Restaurant Week. I'm excited! Then, pho with L on Thursday before he drives me to the airport. (:

I miss the feeling of:

Being taken care of. 

I've always been the youngest. I've always been the baby of the family. I've always been looked after by everybody else. Even when I went to college I had my boyfriend and my guy friends who always looked out for me and took care of me. 

It's been 3 months since I've been on my own, and I think that's the longest I've ever gone that way with hardly any close friends - just me and the city. 

For the first time since leaving home and high school, I feel so excited to see my family. I'm counting down the days (9 left!) and I cannot wait to be greeted at the airport by my mom, dad, and two adorable pups. 

In a way, I feel like my family is so much closer than any other asian family I know. I tell my mom and dad almost everything that goes on in my life now. All the things that are going wrong, all the worries and concerns I have - I tell them. How many people, especially asian children, can honestly say that they do that with their parents? I think my relationship with my family has grown so much stronger since high school. Sure, I still fight with my mom every once in a while, but it is incredibly rare when we do because she has learned to let me be an adult and have my own opinions and make my own choices.

I am also so excited for our family vacation coming up in Europe. We will be hitting London for five days, Geneva for two, and Paris for five before they drop me off on the train to Tours for my orientation. Who still takes family vacations these days? I mean enjoyable ones. I mean ones where the children aren't sulking about the activities and the parents aren't stressed out. I'm pretty positive that this trip will be a great one and I hope it won't be the last. 

Anyways, I can't wait to get back to Taiwan and see my family and have food and laundry and everything else taken care of for me. It's hard living alone.

Adventures

Started off the night with 5 Napkin Burger with O. I ordered cheesecake since I had already eaten, and he ordered a Turkey burger with the 5 Napkin signature toppings/sauce:

Then we wandered back to my apt, sat on the roof top drinking some girly drinks (mike's hard to be precise). P, Z, and A show up and we end up going to east village for drinks at McSorely's. Wandered some more after that and ended up at Panchito's Mexican Restaurant (could not have been more random) and sat on their comfortably couches and watched the informercials that were on the big screen TV for over an hour.

Ended up getting home at 4 am and talking to M a bit before going to bed. 

Yeup.
