Hey i would like some help for a couple suggestions. I am looking for a fanfic when Arthur is still king and all that and he slowly starts falling in love with Merlin but keeps it a secret from everyone else. Can you help i will gladly appreciate it! ~ Pamela

Seems as this is my first specific fic search, I’ve found quite a few that kind of fit the request, hopefully one of them is what you’re looking for! I’m also assuming that this is a canon!au you’re after, but if that’s not the case let me know and I can have another look for you :)

Secrets And Lies || atgwrites = Arthur has always has issues with his father, about what kind of king he would be and whether he could do as he believed right, and still make his father proud. He finds out the truth. Still suffering from the truth, Arthur isn’t sure that he wants to believe that his father is haunting the castle, and he definitely doesn’t want to believe this. Not about Merlin.Tragic Love || happyevraftr = This story is about Merlin’s struggle to do what’s right, and Arthur’s confusion and misunderstanding regarding their undeniable attraction. Just a tad angsty with a happy ending. This is also an Arthur finds out story. Merthur.

Fear and Wanting || barbitone = Arthur’s not sure if what he wants is wrong or if it’s the wanting itself that’s wrong. As always, Merlin complicates everything.

(I have a feeling this is the one you are looking for) The Coming Of Spring || ingberry = Kings, even new ones, were not supposed to long for their menservants. They shouldn’t let their eyes linger on their wrists, the plump of their lips, or the shape of their thighs. Arthur knew this, but he still wanted. There was nothing about Merlin he didn’t want.
