It’s late in the day for this post, but it needs to be said. It can feel pritttty crappy when there’s a national holiday (Fathers Day) that implies that everyone has a happy and healthy paternal relationship. Many of us don’t, and that’s okay! It doesn’t make you weird or less than. (Frankly, I’m pretty sure it makes you normal.) But not participating in celebrating it, or having to explain why you don’t have plans today, can make you feel invisible 👤 • If this is you, take extra care of yourself today. Know that you’re not alone. Lots of people (including me) are right there with you. And if you have friends with difficult relationships with their dads, reach out to them today and show them extra love. You don’t have to say why, but I’m guessing it might be more appreciated than you know ❤️ • #fathersday #itscomplicated #andthatsokay #loveyourself💕 #youdeservelove #extraselfcare #youarenotalone #youbelongbecause
