It’s late in the day for this post, but it needs to be said. It can feel pritttty crappy when there’s a national holiday (Fathers Day) that implies that everyone has a happy and healthy paternal relationship. Many of us don’t, and that’s okay! It doesn’t make you weird or less than. (Frankly, I’m pretty sure it makes you normal.) But not participating in celebrating it, or having to explain why you don’t have plans today, can make you feel invisible 👤 • If this is you, take extra care of yourself today. Know that you’re not alone. Lots of people (including me) are right there with you. And if you have friends with difficult relationships with their dads, reach out to them today and show them extra love. Isss me! I’ve been thinking a lot about vulnerability lately, and how I’m totally down with being “seen” in some ways (like my thoughts and feelings) but vurry not down with being seen in other ways (like physically showing myself to the world, and to you guys). I have acne, and other skin conditions that have added to me feeling extremely self-conscious and wanting to hide my face from the world. Full disclosure: I totally filtered this picture! My name is Humpty🥚#justplayin • I once knew a girl who swore she’d never have babies. She didn’t like them, she didn’t understand them, she didn’t want to pop one outta her vajayjay. She was pretty aggro about it and I respected that. A few years later, guess who’s baby bump showed up on my FB feed? Oh yeah bb 👶🏽 • At first I didn’t get it.
