Alsooo I don't usually post wips that are heavy not finished but I've been kinda unwell recently so to motivate myself I'm using the peer pressure tactic of "they only see the scrap version " to make me wanna keep up !!!

So I’ve been trying to draw for two hours, this is all I got.

Drawing my kobold fighter, Shink.  Not used to drawing a more muscular frame, though her STR score is 14 and I drew the arm way too muscly.   

Think I’ll just save it for later, I’m not really feeling it tonight.

What is a Shape Shifter?

Shape-shifters, to put it plainly, are magical beings that possess the liberty to change their form into something else while remaining conscious and in control. The most common form are animals, though they can also transform into the raw elements of the deities sol or lune. Despite this, the latter two are only ever features attributed to the royals (alpha) of the pack.

They can either be 'fixed' or 'impermanent' shifters. Both of their names allude to whether the shape they shift into is of one type, or whether the shape they take changes depending on whim and fancy. Fixed forms are permanent things such as a kitsune or wolf, while impermanent forms are demonstrated by what is around them.

Lifespan

Shapeshifters age at a normal pace until they become mature. From then on, the way they age starts to slow, though the exact statistics fluctuate according to the individual. It is said that the happening's in a shifter's life before maturity determines the rate at which a shifter will begin to age.  

Process of Changing:

Shifting is an uncomfortable process but not entirely painful. Depending on how adept the individual is, the whole process of shifting could take anywhere from 40 to 240 seconds to take place. Controlled partial variations are also not uncommon. When a shifter is angry, it is not uncommon to see an animal shifter's teeth or eye colour change. Elemental shifters may also start to take on forms of what the deities: sol or lune.

Misc.:

Blood purity is starting to become a dying commodity, but the royals and nobles (also known as the alphas and betas) are usually take it much more seriously.

Special Abilities:

In addition to shifting, shifters sometimes inherit their second form's characteristics and abilities. If their second form is physically strong or fast, those will carry over to their human side but in a lesser extent. However, these special abilities are only ever show up on fixed form shifters. This is because impermanent shifters do not have one type of form they resort to.

Shifters are also immune to most diseases and illnesses and are able to heal from injuries at an advanced, but nowhere near superhuman, rate. For example, a deep cut will heal within a day and a broken bone a week.

Shifters also have a harder time getting drunk than a normal human.

Hierarchy:

The Hierarchy of a shapeshifting clan is quite simple and is based loosely on royalty. Shapeshifters instinctively wish to be part of a pack and with others of their kind. It is extremely rare, but not impossible, for a shapeshifter to become rogue.

·       The Royals: (king, queen, prince, princess)

·       The Nobles: (duke, duchess, earls, viscount, lords)

·       House Illia: (the upper class)

·       House Einix: (the middle class)

·       House Quire: (the lower class)

While the nobles and royals have quite fixed systems and have almost no social mobility at all, the houses have become much less stricter. In fact, it is extremely common for someone from House Quire to make their way up to House Illia or vice versa. Furthermore, even though House Quire has the lowest title in terms of rank, this does not affect their living standards. Many of House Quire do live quite a luxurious life.
