Cleaning up after death:
Cleaning up after death has claimed yet another living soul from my house. I'm not speaking metaphorically either although I truly wish I was. He died a preventable death. I am ashamed & guilt ridden. Ashamed that I didn't follow through with the promise to take good care of him like I told them I would. I failed at the most simplistic of promises. And now I feel as though an entire community is looking down on me pointing snarling telling me over and over again what I already know to be true. I could have, I should have.
But, what they don't know is that I would have if I ever thought in a million years this would have been the outcome of it all. That isn't an excuse I know this is 100% my own fault. But, can they take comfort in knowing I have cried & died over it several times in the lonely darkness of my room and in the comfort of my best friends arms?. A lesson was learned here. Is that enough to reclaim my ability to live my life again?
