@exxorciism continued from X.
He remains frozen, pinned against the door, even as he hears the growling words of the exorcist fill the air, gruff, irritated, no doubt beyond aggravated that the rules regarding the heavenly embassy prevented her from executing her slaughter upon both him and any other sorry soul who sought sanctuary within its walls. He feels his heart start to pound a bit less in his chest, some of the horrid fear begin to slowly drain out of him, and he lets out a heavy huff of air he hadn’t realized he had been holding, even as he slowly scrambles to properly stand up from where he had been cowering flat against the doorframe. “Y..Yesss, of course I did. Jussst…adrenaline, and all that. Apologies.”
He didn’t exactly know why he was apologizing to an exorcist of all things. Perhaps it was the near death experience that was making his mannerisms bubble up to the surface. Maybe it was just an effort to save face. Either way, he moved to clear his throat, slithering away from the door in case any other demon bursted in, but didn’t immediately go to slither into one of the meeting rooms. “..Why…Why are you in here anywayssss? Would you not rather want to be…” A cautious point to the terrifying and haunting choir of screaming outside.
