"You are putting yourself in jeopardy, Charlie..."

“It’s not jeopardy to wanna marry the love of my life~!” All said with a singsong tone, still grinning. “And I wanna marry you! As long as we’re happy, nothing and no one can touch us!”

A very quiet, high pitched sound somewhat reminiscent of a whiny, avian-esque cheep vibrates in the back of her throat.

"You are so.....lovely."

In spite of her objections, she cannot help the way her feathers puff up at the prospect.

"You are serious about this?"

“More serious than anything in my entire life.” She moves to grab at her hands, holding both of them in her own, thumbs already rubbing at her knuckles. “I want to marry you and be with you for the rest of my life, if you’ll have me back.”

"Pssh. Really? Come on, princess—you don't have to put on a show for me, acting all tough...heh."

She places a tapered talon under Charlotte's porcelain chin, and even with her back against the wall, she has enough pluck in her to be exceedingly smug.

"Wouldn't you rather be underneath me?"

The flush at that single talon to her chin is enough to make Charlie’s cheeks grow tangibly warm, but she doesn’t let up. Only letting out a soft giggle as she slowly pushes her weight against the other just a little bit more, the smile on her face only growing. “Mmm, what if I wanted you to be under me this time, hm? What if I wanted to see just what it takes to get you melting?”

A teasing wiggle of the hips as their boundaries grow exceedingly flushed, before she dips in, pressing a kiss right against the thin skin of Lyre’s neck. Then another, and another. Just testing the waters.

“Hmm..” Charlie seems to tilt her head a touch, looking over Lyre’s hair as she slowly cards her claws through the soft white locks. “..Maybe we could test it? Let it grow out a little more, see how you feel about it, brush it and put it up in styles if you want to…Help you decide if you’d want to keep it short or not?”

"You gonna get me all dolled up, huh?"

She can't help but laugh, wings ruffling slightly in response to the feeling of her nails weaving through the delicate strands of white circumscribing her shoulders.

"It is cute how you always do something special with yours. To be honest, I would not know where to start. I only know how to put it in a bun."

“Heheh, maaaaybe~.”

She accentuates her teasing remark with a brief cheek to check nuzzle, smiling softly as she giggles before pulling back.

“Truth be told, I helped Vaggie out a lot too with her hair growing out, so I’d be able to show you all kinds of ways to put it up. We can go by it piece by piece and learn which looks you like and are comfortable with the most.”

Let it grow out a little more, see how you feel about it, brush it and put it up in styles if you want to…Help you decide if you’d want to keep it short or not?”

She scrunches her nose jestfully, lnclining to touch her forehead to the princess', an arm snaked loosely around her waist.

“Heheh..” She can’t help but giggle a little bit, both at the jest itself and at the sight of Lyr’s face, leaning forward just that little bit more to playfully poke the tip of her nose with her own. “I don’t think I’d use the word concubine exactly…Lover feels like the better word? Orrr maybe something like…”

She looks off to the side, lips pursing faintly, even as she moves to wrap her own arms around Lyr’s back. “…Damn, this is hard.”

"I am only kidding."

Well...about the concubine thing. Not about sticking by her no matter what her status demands of her, rain or shine.

As Charlie alerts her gaze, Lyriel eyes it's trajectory, a quizzical hum thrumming in her throat as she gingerly ghosts her lips up and down the curve of her pale face, settling against her jaw where she lays another soft kiss.

"What is hard?"

She feels those soft lips setting against her skin, soft kisses against her jaw, and her smile only grows, as the warmth in her chest only deepens, idly tilting her head to the side to give her just that little bit more room. She lets her own hands, likewise, begin to slide up and down her back, gently mapping the grooves of her spine and the dip and curves of muscles underneath soft warm skin, trying to commit the feeling of feathers to memory as he lets out a faint, loving sigh.

“…Trying to think of something concrete that we can do that isn’t marriage. Something I can give you if it can’t be a crown or a ring, you know?”

"You're sweet."

As she tip her head to expose more of her beautiful, marble skin, Lyriel inhales, savoring her scent for a fleeting moment, then, she exhales it in a reverent sigh. Lips slide from jaw to throat, enjoying the warmth of the flesh, and the feeling of blood circulating beneath the delicate layers.

"So, so sweet."

She whispers, hands sliding up along the delicate curve of her spine. It is certainly a pretty notion. Marriage. One she could indulge endlessly in in the realm of fantasy—but in reality, she couldn't possibly do that to Charlotte. The denizen of hell would never accept someone of as ill repute as herself in a position of such great authority. And for good reason. It would be dishonest of her to try and convince her darling of anything different.

"Worldly possessions and lofty titles don't mean anything to me anymore. You know my heart...and I know yours. That is all that matters."

“I know…Part of me just wants to share our love with the world, I guess. Let everyone see us at our happiest, so they all know how deeply we love each other…”

She feels those lips, so soft and so tender, where she knew teeth could easily bite down and tear into her throat’s soft sinew, rests on the pulse point of her neck, kissing, relishing. She idly pulls her in a little closer, tilting her head back a little more, letting her chin rest atop Lyr’s soft silver hair, while her hands slide up to rest in the feathers cover her skin, just at the base of her wings. She rubs at the muscles there, gently, carefully rubbing around sensitive skin with the tips of her claws, a smile on her face.

“And so everyone can see how beautiful your smile is…”

“Uhh..” Charlie, clearly thrown off by the hostility in her voice, clears her throat a bit, awkwardly folding her arms, looking away, before looking back toward her. “…I just wanted to…thank you? I guess. For listening to Abel and not going through with letting that weapon explode. You could have kept going. But, you didn’t. You showed restraint when it mattered, and I think that’s very important, even if you did..want to let it explode and kill all of us..”

She lets out a faint sigh. This was harder than she’d thought. “And…I’m sorry. About killing your soldiers. And Adam. If it were up to me…I would’ve tried to let him go. I was going to let him go. But…well, you saw what happened. And I’m sorry for that.”
