Fixation -

Ebumi had had a pretty rough first week of high school.  But he had the perfect solution for that.  After finding a secluded corner, he dug into his pocket and pulled out a battered pack of cigarettes, tipping one out into his palm.  Time to relax.

Coming Through the Gate

Run.  Throw.  Catch.  Kick. Tackle.

Not a Kindness

It was something Yuuri's friend Yuko had said.  Something about how kind Victor was to come to Hasetsu.  Victor had laughed, charmingly indicated how his motivations were not for discussion, and quickly changed the topic.

Trying

It had been a hard fought game against the current first string, but Chris thought that it had been well worth it.  He had been more than happy to support Tetsu's scheduling of the OB game against the first string. To bring awareness of the situation to the first string - that was the most important thing.  That he had played in a game in Seido, official or not, was a bonus.  And that he had seen Sawamura's pitch, low and outside, that was special.  It was what he had wanted, to be able to give Sawamura something, whatever it was, that Sawamura would be able to take away with him.

The Origins of Fire

Magic is a peculiar thing, for all Chris had been practicing since he could remember.  It seemed simple; there would be a wizard and then the word.  It always began with the word.  Then were the mastery of the types of magic; earth, air, fire, water - had all been codified long since.  But like most things that started simple, once past the novice level, magic rapidly become complicated.

Foul Line

Sawamura Eijun had been crushing on Takigawa Chris Yuu for the better part of a year, since they'd been randomly assigned to play catch during a baseball team practice.  

Pitching Woo

The mailbox at the front hall of the apartment complex was stuffed. Not that it wasn't, usually, but this was peculiar. Envelopes from all sorts of places and people Chris had never heard of; an entire forest was probably denuded by this mass mailing to his and Eijun's place.

Wishing

The small bamboo grove was located at the far end of the street marked the end of rows of stalls, bustling with custom at the start of the long festival evening.  Maybe calling it a grove made too much of the cluster of potted plants, but it was all in the spirit of Tanabata.   Anyway, it didn't seem to bother the handful of people, in both yukata and modern clothing, hovering over the plants, tying gaily colored tanzaku to the already crowded branches.

Deliveries in the Rear    -

The hotel was a nice one, with cream walls, heavy tan hangings across the tall windows, plush chocolate-colored carpet in a baroque swirling pattern underfoot.  Real nice lighting too, soft and warm, overhead and also from antique brass sconces scattered across the hushed lobby.  Discreet brass signs with black lettering pointed to the full sauna, massage, pool area, the bar, separate restaurants, shopping.  Most of them probably closed by this time of night.

Making a Memory -

The spring day was gorgeous, perfectly in season.  There were cherry blossoms overhead and underfoot, scenting the cool morning air with their soft, sensuous promise of the year to come.

Tuesdays are for Tacos -

Kanemaru Shinji is a party boy.  He lives in a party house.  He likes parties.  He likes drinking.  He likes girls.  He likes guys.  He likes getting shit-faced with his friends and singing in a karaoke bar after a night of dancing, possibly as a lead-in to some further debauchery.  He hates getting up the morning after, often does punishing workouts as a form of penance.  He'd still do it again, but hell.  It's fun, and it's not like his grades are suffering.  Might as well.

Inhale/Exhale

It all starts with an inhale.

Once a Hero -

Chris woke up in pain, sweaty, cold, a scream about to burst out of his throat.  It was the sensation of being alone, the stillness of the air, that halted his propulsive run from the bunkbed to an automatic fighting stance.  His eyes adjusted quickly, taking in the faint light from the HUD display by the heavy metal door, his ears picking up the quiet hum of the constantly active base below.

Oooh, good question! Hmmm, I think it was probably the episode of Psych that was just on; I don’t ever watch it, but it came on after Criminal Minds and I was too lazy to change the channel. I couldn’t tell you exactly what it was about, but the main guy was pretending that he could understand a cat, and idk, it just got to me lol!

Pug: What is your favorite movie?

Oh man, I gotta go with either Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World or Zootopia; it just depends on my mood!!
