REQUIRED. Don’t worry, I will invent some lightly alcoholed DA drinks.
*laughs* VERY lightly alcoholed, lol. I prefer rum, but it also gives me a terrible hangover.

eye-shuh replied to your post: NO I'M NOT PRICING AIRFARE TO PAX PRIME WHY ARE YOU LOOKING AT ME LIKE THAT?
watch the pendulum….you are getting sleepy…book the flight…booooook the fliiiiiiight….you are getting sleeeeepy….paaaax priiiiiime….very sleeeepy….boooook the fliiiiiight….
I swear to god, US Airways is smoking crack. $700+ a person for the exact same trip that's $321 a person on Delta. I REALLY hate Hartsfield/Atlanta, but by god I'll put up with it for $321 a person!
eye-shuh replied to your post: You are a really cheerful and friendly person who likes to celebrate the things she enjoys.
I can confirm this fact.
Yes, eye-shuh, but you also saw to it that my love for you remained bought post PAX last year. :p
...Also, after my two-drink-fiasco last night, there will be NO shots for me at Prime this year, Dragon Age themed or not. *laughs*
eye-shuh replied to your post: eye-shuh liked your post: Dear PAXers, I hate you...
I am not at East. I was “liking” the fact that we both hate them, lol! You better be at Prime! I am going to invent several Dragon Age shots in your honor!
*laughs* You'll have to be drinking them in my honor, too, or no one's going to see me for the next three days while I'm violently sick. :p
And seriously, who would pick Boston over Seattle?
If you don't know and have been living in the gaming dark - Portal is the accidentally smash hit game that Valve included with Orange Box games. The little puzzler saw huge success and now has a sequel. You use two portals, one orange and one blue, to teleport and propel yourself through obstacle course type levels. All the while you are battling the cake promising robot GLaDOS. The game is fun, hilarious, and great for all levels of gamers. It is a fantastic starting point for anyone in your life who might not be into gaming but is open to try.

Similar game logos for the lawls - WoW devs enjoy their font
Funny story. I stayed at the Sheraton for PAX and happened to be in the hot tub on the top floor at the same time as a couple of the graphics designers for Firefall.
I bring this up because of a recent Destructoid article. The end made me laugh:
"There's a lot of talent behind this project, including the project lead for World of Warcraft, so it's a safe bet to keep this one on your radar."
The reason for my giggles is that I got to poke fun of them a bit for their logo's similarity to the StarCraft logo, and they jokingly pointed at their acquisition of a former Blizzard guy as a possible cause.
Which made me laugh more because I know of another company that picked up some WoW devs.
I heard a lot of people at PAX joke about the similarities between the first two logos, so perhaps now I have solved the mystery for you. Heh.
EDIT: Oh, and I should mention - I signed up for their beta! Apparently it is a very social invite system, so if you post something in the comments I will send out random invites as I get them!

Another Penny Arcade Expo, another bout of booth babe drama! These babes didn't entirely get the boot as the linked tweet from @Offical_PAX suggests, they were just made to put on some pants (well, skin-tight leggings that were mostly pants, anyway).
While I am not against booth babes, I am actually glad that they enforced the booth babe policy. I feel like this is the first year that there was a real effort to do so. With that in mind, I'm a little upset with how the NOS girls were treated by attendees. It got to the point where one of the girls exchanged some choice insults with someone in BYOC (Bring Your Own Computer) and it did not sound entirely joking or friendly. Is it ever appropriate for a representative of a company to insult a potential consumer? Unlikely. Was it appropriate for the attendee to take it that far? I personally don't think so.
Regardless of whether you think booth babes belong at the con, they are still people under their generally skin-tight clothing. I talked to the NOS girls a little and they were fun. The only other booth babes I really noticed were the End of Nations girls, who were an absolute blast and clearly loved being at PAX.
What do you think? Do the babes that do make the rules cut deserve a chance to prove they belong? Or do they deserve anything they get for taking the job in the first place? Does it depend on the babe? Let us know in the comments, but keep it civil!
