Eye Acting
I saw a tiktok about this and I wanted to make a little post about it.
Since I fell down the kdrama rabbit hole back in 2018 and stumbled into cdramas and tdramas (the 3 main ones I watch) I have realised that eye acting is a really big thing in Asian dramas.
I love it because it makes it all a bit more interesting and realistic but a big problem is alot of people will look at two actors together and be like oh my god look at their eyes, that's how you look at someone you love, you can't fake that look. But what alot of fans don't seem to realise is they get TRAINED to look at their costars like that. It leads to alot of dating rumors and shipping which can ruin actors friendships, like it did with Wang Yibo and Xiao Zhan (who play Lan Zhan and Wei Ying in the untamed).
Just to clarify I am not saying you can't ship the characters but the actors are real people, who have real feelings. They are not characters you only see on the TV.
