My very poor attempt at an eyebrow tutorial:
This is what I do digitally too!
1. I first draw the eyebrow shape, ofc this differs from person to person and the angle of the brow! This one is straight on.
2. Next I start at the nose and work my way inwards! I use quick short strokes and generally, I make them thinner and use a lighter hand at the start of the brow and thicken it at the center. The first few brow hairs are never really neat so I flick them owards a little. These brush strokes start straight(ish) and become more curved as I work inwards!
3. From where the pupil starts (ish) I start to bring the hairs more around and the top downward hairs begin! These travel all the way to the end point, where top and bottom will meet!
4. Likewise on the bottom the hairs will also follow this curve and they stop being longer and are shorter in length, but they build on each other? If that makes sense.
5. Top and bottom brow hairs should connect in the middle! They kinda make a nice line of >>>>> (those lol) until the tip of the brow! Some brows will also have a bit more of a straight line center and some won't! Groomed brows will have shorter finer hairs but they will still all travel in the same way! Remember they follow the curve of the brow bone :)
When I do brows digitally I actually do a tiny of a lighter shade under them which allows me to make the part closest to the nose finer and helps darker the middle section up more!
For eyebrows that aren't plucked/groomed there will always be random hairs that are short and lower on the brow or higher (mostly those hairs grow lower though) and also appear around the pointed tip! Some points aren't super pointed either so make sure you pay attention to the brow shape of the person!
When drawing brows from other angles just keep the brow bone curve in mind and remember that brows will be lifted away from the skin so there show but some indication of that! (Skin peaking through, raised, curved hairs)
I hope this helps a little!
