ID: A 8.5×11" graphite/ colored pencil quick sketch of my OC, Sergeant Wesson, reporting for a routine inspection in freshly buffed armor and a newly cleaned rifle. He takes great pride in his uniform appearance because of a personal preference to keep his own facial features concealed. His color scheme is inspired by a military marching cadence called A Yellow Bird. It is about a soldier luring in an innocent yellow bird to be wantonly killed. The cadence is off-putting because of its unusual mixture of poetry, vulgarity, and violence. There is no apparent explanation for the acts it describes and in the essence of war(especially the clone war), it is equally poetic, vulgar, and violent and it begins to make sense of the obscure lyrics it references as to the meaningless reasons factions are killing and fighting in the first place.

Coming for my throat right off the bat I see. ❤️🩹
Aurosa struggles primarily with anger, sadness and abandonment. Before Dooku left her to pursue his own interests, she was as calm and collected as can be. It was unheard of for Aurosa to have an outburst of any kind. However... after the incident, that remains a completely different story. Without the monotony of living under his thumb, she feels free to explore the full range if her emotions and saw that she can draw immense power from them. Power she channels into her mission to track down her clan, if they're even alive.
🍧 SHAVED ICE - do they still have any objects from their childhood? what significance does it have to them? what would their reaction be if they lost it?
Very good question! Considering Dooku was first and foremost a Jedi Master he regards sentimental value as worthless.(no surprise there) Aurosa has a very small keepsake that she's managed to downplay from him. It's a mythosaur charm for her horns. It rests on her forehead, hanging by a chain of beskar alloy. It was the only thing she had that remained of her parents when she was brought to Dooku at infancy and he regarded it only as an accessory. Aurosa has done well in not letting him know its true meaning.
Oh hell, it goes without saying Aurosa would flip shit if she lost it. She was raised with the Jedi but her roots remain Mandalorian. It's her only proof of her kinship to The Way; her admission pass into the covert. Without it, she believes she not only forfeits her birthright to be welcomed back into her clan, but that if she can't return as a Mandalorian, she can't return at all.
She keeps it hidden in a locket that hangs around her neck. She could care less about the locket itself, it's the contents inside that she cares about. 🥺😩😭

Aurosa loves a nice fast paced and heavy rhythm with a good melody. In fact, one song in particular fits Aurosa to a T. It's called Like A Villain by a metalcore band by the name of Bad Omens. These lyrics speak volumes about how Aurosa feels when she ponders her past, confused by betrayal and trying to make sense of the fateful things she can't control.
Look into my face, then look again
We are not the same, we're different
To tell your tales and fables, you couldn't wait
You need a new clean slate without the dents
A place to put your pain, your consequence
When you look into the mirror, are you even there?
I don't wanna know all your secrets 'cause I'll tell
It's hard enough being alone with myself
I don't know how long I'll be holding on
I know you tried your hardest, I know that you meant well
But you pushed me to the edge, and I slipped and then I fell
I don't know how long I'll be holding on
So write a brand new page, then write again
I know your act is staged yet you pretend
All while you're turning tables with missing legs
I think you've overstayed your welcome in
So go the fuck away, don't come again
I'll see your face in the fire and burn it out
Dooku disposed of her like stale garbage. He saw a new candidate and felt Aurosa had served her purpose, moved on to the next shiny new padawan/apprentice. She began to ask too many questions. Questions Dooku thought were far above her station. Aurosa frightened him with how clever she is and that's what lead him to leave her for dead without so much as an explanation or even a search party for her remains. She tries to make her way back to him, naivete taking over and thinking it was an innocent mistake but his indifference upon her return sparked an inextinguishable rage that he will continue to pay for through the rest of his sorry days.
The lyrics "You need a new clean slate without the dents. A place to put your pain, your consequence." Just screams Dooku. He's the poster boy for projecting and taking out his failures on every person he's ever had in his tutelage. Aurosa learns early on she is not a special case.
And the final lyrics "So write a brand new page, then write again. I know your act is staged yet you pretend." Is like saying Aurosa has finally come to terms with who and what Dooku is, how corrupt things have become and just giving her one reason after the other to abandon everything and start anew.
