Fun fact: I’ve actually never read the Canterbury Tales. I looked up a basic description, but never the actual book. And it’s been so long, I don’t even remember what I read in the description. 🤣

Episode 4: Page Turner

When you’re supposed to be in a horrifying magic bookshop, and Eye-Deku is just happily jumping through it, reading all the deets, dark magic be damned!

That being said, I remember why I don’t like drawing libraries or bookstores despite loving the locations. Every. Single. BOOK.

As well, for Gerald’s painting, I wasn’t sure how I could accurately do what the podcast described. So I gave the best I could.

As a funny listening note, I honestly getting freaked out by the “dark book store” description… then Eye-Deku just mentally danced through it, reading happily every book and Lietner he could get his hands on, and I did have to smile. Fun when your OC is not scared by the same things you are. XD

Episode 3: Across the Street

For one who always Watches, sometimes it is sad to watch and know what the monster is, and how hopeless the victim is.

So! I have a funny story about this one. I have dedicated skin color markers. I tried one, thinking it would be more obvious that thing was a creature. It wasn’t, it ended up looking like the pipe.

What does the protagonist in the episode think what they’re looking at first? A pipe.

It ended up being one of those happy accidents where a boo-boo turned into a legitimate detail of the story. XD

Eye-Deku wishes he brought a warmer coat. And now wondering again if the Lightning Monster is Vast or Spiral.

Episode 7: The Piper

When you read the old statements, and remember that not all gods of war look… human.

This is an interesting one I half-remembered. I know I imagined something else when I heard the description of The Piper, which I now wonder was the Slaughter themselves. But now, maybe due to my plans to draw, I got something more like above… above is still not perfectly what I mentally image, but sometimes you make due with what you have in your supply box and/or what you can draw.

This was also another interesting one for knowing more what happens next, and what the world is. Instead of trying to pierce together the world like a newbie, I was trying to patch this to what I knew. I’m getting a few of things, and it makes the re-listening part interesting.

I’m doomed when I get to the new stuff, aren’t I? LOL.
