State of the Archives
Time for an update!
I’ve been busy working on two of my archives, Everything, Please! (a Check, Please! archive) and The Eyrechive, (an Autobiography of Jane Eyre archive) over the past month.
I’m pleased to say that I have now finished queuing posts for the Everything, Please! re-ordering project, and the archive should be updated to where it was before (episode 2.10, “Shinny”) in about a week. At that point, I’ll figure out where to go from there (more on that later).
I’ve also spent some time in these past few weeks adding a new index to The Eyrechive. The new timeline index makes it easy to find out what was happening in Jane’s world on any given day.
Both of these archives take the form of tumblr blogs, and I am as well aware as anyone that there’s no guarantee that these blogs will be around forever. I’m currently considering my options for backing them up, to ensure that these resources remain available to everyone in these fandoms. In fact, that’s the next item on my archiving agenda!
