'He was always so poised, refined, perfect. An outsider would never be able to tell there was a monster lurking beneath his surface. ----
"Don't move," she ordered quietly, jumping off the couch and padding across the apartment to her bedroom. She returned with a camera in her hands, much to his thinly veiled annoyance. "Someone as handsome as you shouldn't look so glum all the time."
The picture was taken quickly and her eyes flickered up to meet his, taking in an expression that was now laced with the faintest traces of amusement. "Are you quite done?" His voiced infiltrated the air and pierced her chest as if he'd shouted, when in reality the words had barely been above a whisper. The connection she felt to him was so intense, she sometimes wondered if it would ever stop surprising her.
She placed the camera down gently on her coffee table and returned to her seat beside him, leaning in close to faintly brush her lips against his. "With you? Never." That seemed to be the answer he wanted to hear, because in less than a moment, something ignited in his eyes and he pinned her down on the leather with a lusty, possessive growl.
---- I think the worst part is my love and hate for that monster. What I feel for him terrifies me to the core.'
