Hey, dear! Sorry it took me forever to answer. I remember f-ckyeahfutbol very well. Their meta was simply amazing! Some of the best “Dean is bi” meta I’ve ever seen. Unfortunately, I don’t know what happened to them, and like you, I often wonder about them. I hope they’re okay.

It’s not worth thinking about when it still upsets you. It’s really the connections between Iron Man 2 and Winter Soldier that have been on my mind, especially since the same slimy Hydra operative is seen (and is instrumental) in both films. They are connected, and I haven’t seen a lot of comparison between them.
I think the Iron Man movies have been mostly misunderstood. Of course the problem behind all the Marvel movies is that they build movies with the intention of selling and that stops them from fully telling the story in its depth in a brutally bare way, and people like you can see between the lines - the female coding of Tony Stark, etc - but most people can’t.
Imagine the stories of the Avengers being told in a big-budget, no-end-in-sight television show on a network that isn’t scared of stepping in radically progressive territory. Same cast. If there’s something the MCU is seriously good at, is casting :)
