Good news: 3929 found a bus to Champs.
Thanks everyone.
URGENT! ALL TEAMS IN THE TRI-STATE AREA GOING TO ST. LOUIS:
The Rookie All-Star Winner in the MAR Region, Team 3929, the Atomic Dragons, from Philadelphia, JUST had their bus to Championships cancel on them. Unfortuneately, our team is only taking one bus down and already has 45 people going, so we won't be able to fit anymore. If any of you have room for them, please reply back ASAP. Thanks in advance.
Officially dropped out of marching band!
Now, I'm going to take you on a rant down memory lane, cause, I mean what else is there to do at 2:45 am in the morning two days before school starts?
Go back a little less than two years, to the december of my freshman year. Just joined robotics. I was originally in info-tech, then volunteered to more to animation. However, I couldn't even make a simple screwdriver on the computer, SO I switched to my home on Integration and Testing (aka I&T). When I first saw the schedule that my head coach projected onto the SmartBoard, I was overwhelmed on how much work it seemed like. I mean, who in there right mind would stay at school until midnight for six weeks, and give up their weekends, too (that's this guy right here now =P). ANYWAY, I thought about it for a while, over and over again, until I made the decision to draft an email to my head coach saying that I would have to drop out of robotics. However, I didnt send it. I figured I would give it one more shot, and ended up NEVER sending that email. And not sending that email to him has been THE BEST DECISION OF MY LIFE. I don't know what the hell I would've done if I actually let that go. The year after, when I was a sophomore, I became the subteam leader of I&T, and now I am the CEO for Hills, as a junior. I am still SOOOOO happy because of that, and it is almost still surreal for me. Yeah, it is a lot of work, but I enjoy it so much. The team has became my life, and I've made great friendships with other members; we've formed a family that cares about one another greatly. I absolutely love the Pascack Pi-oneers, FRC Team 1676, and it has definitely made my high school career.
(Anyway if you're wondering why I quit marching band it was because of numerous robotics events on the weekends, me wanting to get my Eagle Scout Rank before my grandfather dies, college visits, and SAT tutoring).
Well, that's my story. It is now 3 am on Wednesday, August 31st, which means it is time to go to sleep. Goodnight, sweet dreams.
