NOTES: marley comes home after a long closing shift at the bakery and encounters dani after a couple of days of not speaking.

the shift had been long, and although marley liked what she did, it still took a toll on her. the orders weren't going to fill themselves and it seemed like the list was never-ending. her fingers never got tired when they were playing a guitar or piano for hours on end, but something about decorating cakes until the kitchen got dark around her was just depressing. also, her mom was still dead, and she couldn't call her and talk to her.

marley unlocked the door to the apartment she still shared with dani and locked it again behind her, sighing as she pulled her hair out of the scrunchie and made her way to the kitchen to eat...something, she supposed. nothing felt appetizing and it hadn't felt appetizing for months, but she soldiered on. she grabbed an apple from the fridge and sunk her teeth into it...yay, dinner. sitting at the table and eating in silence for a bit before she heard footsteps padding out into the kitchen. what she wanted, marley was entirely unsure, but she didn't have the energy.

marley blinked at her, "sorry if i woke you up," she said, taking another bite of the apple. it was strange, even now, to talk to dani in such a curt manner, it wasn't her, but she hadn't felt like her in a long time, especially when she was home.

NOTES → rachel has just finished performing her song for the talent show and she runs into dani.

Out of breath, Rachel ran off stage smiling and grabbed a water from the refreshment table, gulping the water before scanning the room. Her eyes landing on Dani, "DANI!" Rachel squeaks, running to the other girl, "I'm going to hug you now," she warns before throwing her arms around her. "Sorry, I know I'm sweaty, but it's just been so long. Are you liking the party?"

To say that Giselle was already stressed out over her studies would be an understatement. She was still failing at learning when to take a break to do absolutely anything that would get her out of her dorm room, which was why she'd been holed up in here since getting out of her last class of the day. Luckily an opportunity presented itself when Dani offered to buy her coffee, which she was in desperate need of at the moment anyways, so it only took a minute or so for her to say screw studying and agree to it. Though, there was an incentive here: the other woman was going to reveal who she thought was the best looking person on campus, and she was all for getting it out of her.

With this being a quick trip over to the Lima Bean, she'd chosen not to change out of her leggings and sweatshirt but she did take the time to run a comb through her hair at least. God forbid I be caught on campus looking a complete mess. She thought to herself as she made sure she looked decent enough at least. Once she was sure her hair was fine, and then her make up, she slipped her feet into a pair of Nikes before heading out.

Giselle had only been to the Lima Bean one other time since arriving on campus and while it hadn't been her personal favorite, it would do for tonight. It didn't take long for her to make it there, and she managed to spot Dani almost instantly. "Hey, cutie." She teased, smiling as she approached her. "Ready to get this coffee and tell me your secret?" @daniwmu

A Warning | Hunter & Dani

Hunter could have just showed up at Dani’s room, but he always preferred to do things like this in public. That way there were always witnesses and he was good at making the witnesses see what he wanted them to see. His guards stood on either side of him as he waited outside of the Dom building, coffee at the ready. He got word that she left so he was waiting for her to come back. When he saw her approaching, he pushed off of the wall and approached her. “Hello, Danielle. Did you get my flowers?” He turned to his guard and motioned for him to hand the cup of coffee to her. “I have some things to discuss with you regarding my sister.”

Easter | Zoe & Dani

Zoe stepped out of her room, surprised to see Dani sitting on the couch by herself. She was sure Ash was over earlier in the day and the apartment still smelled like ham. As a matter of fact, that was the whole reason she left her room in the first place, to steal some of Ash’s food. But instead, she left the food covered and instead grabbed a couple of Coronas from the fridge. She sat next to Dani, handing her one and taking a swig of her own. “What happened to Ash?” @daniharperdominant​

MUCH NEEDED LUNCH BREAK

“Uh huh,” the Latina murmured as the overenthusiastic cheerleader prattled on. This was the part of being Captain that Santana despised the most, pretending to care about what the other squad members had to say. But this is the price that she had to pay and it was one that, for the time being, she was willing to pay.

Slipping the last of her books into her locker, she slammed the metal door with a bang, effectively silencing the girl beside her. “Okay, look...” she began, turning to the side. Whatever she was going to say was lost on her as her chocolate hues caught sight of a familiar figure coming their way. “Scram.” A look of confusion spread over her features at the order but, with a quick look from Santana, she was quickly on her way. Leaving Santana to sigh out in relief before making her way down the hall.

She met Dani halfway and smiled, hands slipping into the pockets of her ever-present leather jacket. “Hey,” the brunette greeted before taking a quick moment to glance around them for any stragglers lingering in the halls. After a beat, she met the other girl’s eyes, "So which way?” She questioned with an arch of her brow. “That way,” she indicated the hall behind Dani with a tilt of her head. “Is the cafeteria but this way,” she turned to the side and looked back down the hall from which she came, “is Mr. Schue’s Spanish room, which I happen to know will be empty all period.”

Haunting | Dani & Max 

Honestly, Max couldn’t have asked for a better partner. Dani’s rules weren’t anything outrageous and she was laid back. It seemed like she was trying to make this week enjoyable for the both of them and even called Max Cherry which was just the cherry on top. It was her first night staying with Dani and she didn’t mind it, especially since she got to stay in her own room the night before. As she walked into the bedroom, overnight bag in hand, she took a look around curiously. Dani just sent her in there to put her bag down, before rejoining her out in the living room, but she couldn’t help but poke around. She always liked seeing people’s personal spaces, how they decorate it and what types of things they liked to horde. Max saw the guitar and smiled at the notion of asking Dani to play for her one day as a reward. She dropped her bag on the bed and moved to the desk where there was a sketch pad. Dani must have been a full on artist then. 

Sketching always made her think of one person so it would be nice to associate that with someone else. She took a seat at the desk, completely invading Dani’s privacy, and started to look through the sketches. But instead of seeing sketches of fruit or instruments, what she was met with was a sketch of herself. Her heart sank and she frantically flipped through the rest of the book seeing a few more images of herself, then far more of Dani. Her heart was beating against her chest as the realization began to set in. Then as if on cue, she looked up to find a picture of Dani and Ash on the rooftop. Of course this was happening, Max knew things seemed too good to be true. She stood up too quickly and ended up knocking over a glass that was sitting on the desk causing it to fall and shatter. 

“Fuck.” She dropped down to pick up the shards, leaving Dani to find Max next to the fallen chair hunched over the mess on the floor trying to pick up the pieces.
