F2F ⇄ JIAN
The click of the keyboard was the only sound to break the silence that settled around Rhian when her gaze shifted, drawn to the digital display of the time. A frown marred her features, the knowledge that Jackson should have at least checked in by then making her worry. Knowing him a number of things could have gone wrong, ranging from laughable to cringe worthy. With a weary sigh, the brunette reached for her phone and with a few quick swipes of her finger the call was connecting, leaving her hoping that Jackson would answer and prove her concern to be unwarranted. Yet when the door swung open to reveal a clearly beaten and bruised Jackson she remembered that when it came to her best friend her concern was always warranted.
Without a moment of hesitation, her phone was tossed to the side and she was up on her feet. “Jesus, Jax.” There was no denying that he looked worse up close. Restraining the urge to sigh, Rhian moved around him to close the door, “Go sit down. I’ll grab the first aid kit.” At the rate with which they went through their first aid supplies, she would need to make sure to stock up with more and soon. “What happened this time?” She questioned upon her return, taking a seat nearby and opening up the kit.
