Bored didn’t begin to describe how Sebastian was starting to feel in the Real World house. There wasn’t a single person who stimulated him on a daily basis, and even messing with Hunter was getting old, especially when the other man only had his usual three phrases that he always replied with. As much as he loved going out and coming back with a stranger, that was starting to exhaust him and he was about ready to head back to work and sleep in his own bed.
His last source of amusement had been stealing Hunter’s sheets. It seemed his housemate was going to throw them out to replace them anyway, and since Hunter had been so kind in destroying Sebastian’s sheets, he felt it was only fair that he got the rights to something Hunter wouldn’t bother to miss. He was fairly aware that what he’d done to Hunter wasn’t going to win him any popularity contests, but Sebastian had little tolerance for being insulted, especially by people he hardly knew.
It was for that reason alone that he bought himself a cheap bottle of brandy to repay the favor of Jesse’s comment to him. There was plenty that Jesse could have implied by saying he wanted to treat quality with quality. Either way, Sebastian saw it as Jesse putting himself above him, which was laughable considering they were both on an outdated reality show together. If Jesse was as big of a deal on Broadway as he thought himself to be, he’d be there instead of trying to woo a springtime lethargy victim on the other side of the country. He wasn’t sure why so many people seemed to think they were above him, but he wasn’t one to let people talk down to him, and he wanted to make sure everyone knew it. Besides, it was always the bad guys of reality television that ended up being the most famous in the end.
Sebastian took a slow sip of his drink, ignoring the fact that the sun was just barely coming up as he sat outside by the pool, holding the unopened bottle in his other hand. Despite his high tolerance for alcohol, he’d spent a majority of the night drinking and this was one of the first times since arriving in California that he was actually drunk. Deciding that he had little to lose, he got up from his seat and made his way inside, quietly letting himself into Jesse’s room after opening up the bottle of liquor he’d bought just for his new friend.
Without a word, Sebastian made his way to the side of the bed and tilted the bottle over Jesse’s upper body, being sure to let the dark liquor spill out all over his face and chest as he watched his reaction with a fairly blank expression. “Is this what you meant, St. James?” he asked as soon as he registered that his housemate was awake. “Treating quality with quality?” Once the bottle was empty, he tossed it onto the sheets, wondering how long it would be before Jesse tried to make him replace them. “Cheap liquor for a cheap comment,” he explained, barely registering what he was saying, let alone the fact that he was beginning to slur his words. “Do not,” he enunciated carefully, jabbing a finger at Jesse’s chest, “fuck with me.”
