Who: Finn and River @riverxjackson
Where: Danger Zone
When: 2/28/25
Finn had been a bit surprised when a few weeks passed by and he still hadn't received a text from River, the cute paramedic he'd met briefly when he made a house call to come patch him up. He had thought their cat and mouse game started that day would have turned into something else but perhaps River was simply playing the long game - hard to get - a game that Finn both hated and loved. Still, he had been serious when he'd said he would take him out so after speaking to a few people, he had managed to track down the younger man's number and had sent him a series of texts that indicated it was time for Finn to repay his debt. He had invited him out to the arcade, someplace public but still lowkey enough for it to be a date.
He had dressed in a simple polo shirt and jeans, nothing fancy but still appropriate enough for a date. He hadn't had to worry about that part with Ryder, they hadn't left the rescue on their last encounter but Finn still considered that a date nonetheless. This would be his first date in public since his divorce and he'd be lying if he said he wasn't nervous. He wasn't expecting much from tonight, super casual and fun, but the company he kept was the root cause of said nerves. They didn't know one another that well and he could only hope to make a good, and lasting, impression that made the paramedic want more. No committments, no exclusivity, just one another's time and attention.
He had arrived ahead of River, scoping out the competition and had already won his fair share of tickets at the pinball machine when he heard a voice from behind him. "Hi." He said, turning to give the other male his full attention.
