BETTY: Strangely enough she's almost always been this protective. It's just now that there's a very obvious reason for it.

BETTY: Thank you, but I'm sure you're an equally good, if not greater, travel partner.

VERONICA: Really? Well I'd imagine it is on overdrive then now that she has a reason for it.

VERONICA: I have been told I can be quite an amazing tour guide. At least when it comes to New York.

Getting the chance to explore whatever this is would be nice.

It would be a pleasure. And I don’t think I would ever complain about getting to enjoy more of your company.

I guess…if Betty was alright with it….what would you want to do?

What would I want to do? Well, maybe a few things...But I wouldn’t mind getting any chance to explore how we feel.

I can assure you they wouldn’t. My dad keeps telling me to just focus on my school work.

Same with my mom, that and focus on adjusting on being in a new place. They should know that only makes us want to do the opposite.

Maybe…I don’t know. I don’t really know if Betty would even want to hear this - us.

Yes, that is a very good point. I wouldn’t blame her if she didn’t want to either...But there has to be something we can do, something that won’t hurt her and can help us.

At least if there has been anything, Kevin doesn’t know about it from his father.

I wish there was more people could do, but I don’t think any of the adults would trust or even want the teenagers to help.

I’ve been checking in with Kevin every day to see if his dad has learned anything more, but so far nothing.

No progress at all? That is just unsettling. People around here deserve to know more...at least for their sanity and comfort.

Betty isn’t the type of girl who would want us to be unhappy for the sake of her though.

Yeah? She seems that way. And I mean it wouldn’t be any better or easier to try to push things to the side.

I don’t know. I know Betty is working to get over me and there’s an understanding there that she’s just Betty for me. I love her, but I don’t feel the way she feels about me, but I also don’t want to hurt her if I can avoid it.

Yeah, exactly. I don’t want to hurt her either...I just gained her trust back. And at the same time I don’t want to play a role in getting in the way of you guys getting back your friendship. That would be the last thing I would want.

Yeah…Sorry. Not really trying to be that downer guy around the school or anything. I think we probably have enough of that in our lives right now.

Hey, no you are far from that. You are just being realistic, and there is nothing wrong with that. The truth and facts are good to know.

Very good thing. So…we both agree that what happened was good, so what does that mean for us?

Well I am just honored to have made such a good impression. Yes, completely agree...but I am not sure. What do you think it should mean?

Yeah, maybe, but then we’d have to ask ourselves what is it that we really even know?

Okay...you are right there. We know slim to nothing, which is no help at all. It is like we are stuck in a limbo until anything is solved.

In a very good way, yeah. That night…yeah. I remember it very well. There’s just something about you, Ronnie.

It might just be on the top of my list of moments to remember since coming to Riverdale. It made me a little more hopeful that this could be a more enjoyable change. Well hopefully that something is a good thing.

BETTY: I think that depends on the outcome of what's happening right now with Jason's case. I know for a fact my mother will not be letting me out of her sight for over 24 hours until everything is 100% solved.

BETTY: Also I don't know about an AMAZING travel partner, but I sure am an organized one.

VERONICA: Well of course, that is completely understandable. It makes more than enough sense for her to be protective. Until then we can find our own ways to have fun around Riverdale and Greendale.

VERONICA: Oh come on, you need to give yourself more credit. You would be wonderful.
