While almost every TBK knows elvish, Adaine and Fabian use it more.

Adaine “correctly” pronounces his name when she’s trying to do something nice for him; a pep talk, giving gifts (see their gift exchange)

Fabian “correctly” pronounces her name when he REALLY needs her to hear him; when he’s in danger, when he’s trying to apologize about something

Fabian knows when he needs to apologize to her when she starts speaking elvish continuously. So he waits for a moment then he busts out “A-dayne”. When he hears “Fah-byan”, he knows she’s in the forgiving mode already.

I KNOW for a FACT that Bill and Hallariel have a fund for Fabian’s ‘betrothed.’ I don’t care if its a dowery, or a Bride Price, whatever, I just KNOW that if Fabian calls his banker and is like ‘yo me and Adaine are engaged’ an additional 10 thousand gold pieces will be dolled out to her a month.

I mean LOOK at her. This is the type of bitch to be like ‘you have a job? Has something terrible happened to the family finances?’ She would be absolutely scandalized if any partner of Fabian’s had to work for money.
