Fable (Anime)

It’s truly impossible to explain how good the Fable anime is. It defies genre by encompassing so many different themes, moods, and plots. The flip-flops between ludicrous absurdism and deadpan comedy. The bizarreness that builds up so slowly, you don’t realize how far you’ve gone off the rails until your watching a naked off-duty hitman talk to a parrot while drawing sketches of zoo animals for his part time job. The show deals with some of the harsh realities of the criminal world is a way that’s both sad and hopeful. The characters develop in unexpected ways as they settle into their environments. It’s… I just love this show so much.
