I dare you to write prompt - "Forgotten Family Member." Universe: Fable Franchise, between Fable 2 and Fable 3 Character: Noel Gray - The words haunted Noel. Buzzed in his head daily, unable to rid himself of them. He had been locked away and hidden like a burden. His body cursed in a slumber but his mind in a constant state of awareness. Noel was meant to be lost, meant to be forgotten. For an untold amount of time, he had prayed that his brother would return out of guilt, his soul sore from the backstabbing it had done. Prayed that he'd return so Noel could bury his own blade in his neck and gut him before he hit the floor. Letting his rage burn his corpse into ash for even daring to take what was rightfully his. Albion, and it's throne. He prayed for his brother's return, than he dared for it. Noel dared for his brother's return. He dared him to remove the spell that had bound him this way. He dared his brother to see the mistake he's made, and perish for it. Noel's anger burned so fiercely, he didn't feel the Darkness, the corruption, creep in. It whispers promises to him. Promises of wealth, revenge and power. He just needed to be patient. Patience. He was told that he had a patience of a hero, and heroes were known to jump head first into the shallow end of a pool. Noel wanted his comeuppance, and he wanted it now. The promises only make him more angry, feeling taunted by the Darkness that was now consuming him. He would not be forgotten! He would not be ignored! A cold wind cuts through his thoughts, fear nearly smothering his anger and he falls to his hands and knees. The cold stone beneath him to his surroundings. He was in Bargate. Albion. Home. He looks around, his entire body shaking. The world looked the same, but didn't feel right anymore. Every breath he took burned his mouth and lungs, the moon felt like it was trying to crush him under the weight of it's light, the cold ocean spray cut through his skin in an attempt to drown his fire. Noel lets out a roar, his rage manifesting to his will. An explosion destroys what ruins remained of the prison. "Ceren!" he yells into the night sky. Storm clouds roll in faster then seemed natural. His anger was starting to peak when he scries for his brother. Noel was too late. His brother was dead, his revenge pulled out of his reach. The Darkness' promise broken. Rain falls from the sky as if he had struck it himself. "You can still get your revenge," the Darkness whispers into his ear, but much louder then the rain. "He locked you away to protect Albion. He put Albion's safety before yours." The Darkness doesn't speak more, but Noel knows what it wants. "Albion will suffer for his betrayal."
