Main artist for my show, constantly: Amaya uses a cane? Did I know that?
Started doodling at work today partly out of boredom and partly because I wanted to prove that I could still draw to myself. I can still draw. Have the Logan twins
Yukicchi, love of my life
The first of about 25 planned posters
Jake and Amaya have always been interesting to me because they are physically at the opposite ends of the scale.
Jake is the protagonist of a fantasy show with heavy anime influence, so obviously he's one of the strongest people in the entire show, both physically and magically (though he doesnt really start delving into the magic sode until later seasons). He's one of only two half-human Fae to ever exist, the first person to ever have an offshoot of light magic, has basically endless magical potential, the enhanced speed strength agility etc of the Fae with the adrenaline, sweat, and creativity factors of humans... man's practically unstoppable.
Amaya is magically powerful, but being half Fae and half wood nymph makes her body totally incompatible with her power. She's a glass canon. Beyond that, she's sickly and physically weak. To the point that my brother (my main co-creator) asked me if shes not the team strategist then why is she even there. Her creation was somewhat based on a post I saw about the "girl in the tower" trope a while back. Amaya IS that girl. She can barely walk on her own, let alone take to the battlefield. That doesnt determine her worth.
The draw of Jake and Amaya is not that they're a "power couple" in the sense that they're both tearing it up on the battlefield. They're two people that found each other across separate worlds, who give each other something they lack, who support each other regardless of their individual strengths and weaknesses.
In a cartoon mood so here's some recent wips of one of the protagonists of mine
Thinking about her, Amaya Sunri from Fable Row, one of the loves of my life.
