I see a lot of people hating on straight people for using this but I dont really understand why. I for one been so happily surprised at seeing some unexpected family members and friends speak up in support. It almost made me cry knowing they would accept me. So can someone explain to me why it bothers them?

Tumblr is giving everyone who changed their Facebook profile picture rainbow and I mean STOP IT CMON I know for A FACT that changing your profile picture to rainbow doesn't mean "oh straight people want to say they support LGBT rights for a week and then go back to their normal lives" NO I CHANGED MY ICON TO SUPPORT MY BEST FRIENDS WHO COULDNT GET MARRIED LAST WEEK AND NOW THEY CAN I CHANGED MY ICON TO SHOW MY HOMOPHOBIC FAMILY HOW MUCH I ACTUALLY CARE I MAY BE A STRAIGHT CISFEMALE, BUT I REALISE THE HORRIBLENESS THAT PEOPLE GET JUST CAUSE THEYRE DIFFERENT AND I KNOW THIS IS ONLY A STEP BUT SUPPORT IS SUPPORT - STOP GETTING UPSET AT THOSE WHO CHANGED THEIR MINDS AND FACEBOOK PICTURES OKAY GODDDDDD
