Original Post (12/31/2019): #PraisePost #WhenaBlazerWearsaBlazer I know I posted a few hours and said that "that post" would be my last post of 2019. :) Well, sometimes, I'm wrong about things. I want to share my great news. God is oh-so-good! I am grateful to announce that I was officially accepted to the University of Alabama at Birmingham. At 32 Years Old, I created this desire to become an MD/Obgyn (Doctor). I originally was denied (mostly due to much of my high school information being out of date (I needed a 27 ACT score)). I never gave up! In 2019, I was blessed to return to school, and I started classes @ Shelton State. I produced high merits, applied again to UAB, and they were able to see my credentials in real time. The doors that once were closed to me are now open to me. This #PreMed ride has been an emotional, spiritual-binding, and tireless one. I'm am so #grateful to be here, at this point. I am #highlyfavored and #blessed. There are many other women, moms, and non-traditionals I've talked to and met online that are on the same journey as me! Keep up the great work! You've Got This! Keep up the great work! I first thank God. I thank those that are actively involved in my life, pushing me and providing me support along the way. I thank the many I have conversed with, sharing my vision and dreams, reconfirming me that I was built for this. This is a great end to my 2019.
