today I will give u another fact (morbid again). did u know that safety coffin bells aka the mechanism developed to prevent premature burial (which was believed to be quite common back in the 19th century during the cholera outbreak. as medicine wasn’t developed enough to determine if someone was actually deceased or not) were never documented to have actually saved anybody from being buried alive? however it is worth mentioning that during that time corpses would usually stay in the mortuary for an extended period of time in order to make sure the person was actually dead
