I love helping out at that piercing studio-consignment shop hybrid. They have really awesome decorated shopping bags and earlier I helped make some and it felt like arts and crafts with a purpose. It was so much fun. And just now I gave my friend the spiel on different types of body jewelry and I'm 99.9% sure I got all my facts right and my mentor sort of figure would be super proud of me.
So I might be able to start volunteering at a local piercing studio-consignment store hybrid and learning the ropes of piercing/maybe be fully trained in it. I might also, if I do well as a volunteer, be able to score a job there, which would be super exciting.

FACTOR FIVE, the new book by Ernst von Weizsäcker and Charlie Hargroves, shows that prosperity can be created with one fifth of the energy, water, and minerals inputs typically required for today's clumsy technologies. That's decoupling by a factor of five. And it is only the beginning. Blaming the North, Weizsäcker believes that it is time to put an end to consumerism, detrimental to the South and also to the planet, and to end the glorification of financial markets.
