Questions from girl-in-a-yellow-dress:
1. What is your favorite movie theme song?
Umm, do TV show theme songs count? Because for one thing, they tend to be cooler than movie theme songs, and for another thing, I never know which song in a movie is technically supposed to be the theme song.
2. What is your biggest regret?
I can't really answer that because I think that most of the worst things that have happened in my life have been things that I couldn't have helped. I guess I'd probably say that my biggest regret is that I didn't really get into dance until I was old enough that it was never a viable career option. But even in that case, I didn't really have much choice in the matter.
3. More importantly, what is your biggest accomplishment?
Does getting a kitten count as an accomplishment? On the one hand, it didn't really take any effort to go get her, but on the other hand, it's probably the only thing I've ever done that has positive long-term effects on my life, but no negative effects. If that doesn't count as an accomplishment, I guess my biggest accomplishment was finishing college. I actually am not at all enthusiastic or proud about that, because there's a big difference between graduating college and being successful in post-college life, and I don't seem to be achieving the latter. But still, that was four years of hard work, and I had things a lot harder than most of my classmates because a) I don't come from a rich family, and most of them do, b) I was getting two majors and a minor and I was in the honor's program, and c) my college pulled one of my majors out from under my feet, and it took a lot of extra work and stress and paperwork and money to get that major anyway. So, yeah, I think that counts as an important accomplishment even if I don't really feel much of a sense of achievement from it.
4. If you could change one thing about your life what would it be?
The most immediately apparent thing is that I could really use a job...
5. What is your FAVORITE thing in life?
This critter that is currently sitting in my lap and purring for no other reason than the fact that she's with me and she likes me.
6.What are three things you think a LOT about?
How I'm going to find the money to do life and stuff, what my future husband is going to be like, and how awesome my beautiful kitten is.
7. I liked this question. What would you love to do if you could spend one day with your favorite celebrity crush?
I don't have a celebrity crush. I mean, there are a few male actors who I like because their characters are cool and who I acknowledge are good-looking, but I'm not sure that counts as a crush. Although maybe I should just call Butterstick Candlewax my celebrity crush because I decided to add him to my wish list (between "TARDIS" and "San Francisco") but I don't know what I would do if I could spend a day with him because I don't know much of anything about him, except that he has multicolored eyes like my cat.
8. What fandoms are you a part of?
Does Lutheranism count as a fandom? If so, I'm part of it, and I'm also part of the Doctor Who fandom. Those are the main ones, but I occasionally reblog fandom stuff from other people, so there's a pretty wide variety of fandoms that are represented on my page. And come to think of it, I actually haven't posted much Doctor Who stuff in a while. Also, I am the founding member of my kitten's fandom.
9. What are your guilty pleasures?
See the following question.
10. Nutella or ice cream?
What kind of a question is that? It should say "Nutella and ice cream?" and the answer would be, "Yes, please." Although incidentally, I've never had them at the same time before. That sound interesting. And very, very fattening.
11. What is something that always impresses you?
Dancers who are really, really good turners. That's always been a weak point of mine, so I know from years of personal experience that pirouettes are way, way harder than they look. But there are some people who are naturally good turners AND who have put a lot of work into improving their turns, and it's almost superhuman just how long they can keep spinning.
1. What's the last movie you saw, and would you recommend it?
2. Do you think you would be more likely to someday succeed in writing a bestselling book, appearing in a popular movie, or recording a successful album?
3. How long can you go without any social interaction before you get lonely and/or bored?
4. Do you have more friends who are significantly older than you or significantly younger than you?
5. If you have a cell phone, how old were you when you got it?
6. Is there any particular food that you intensely dislike more than any other food? If so, what is it?
7. Tell about one of your earliest memories. How old were you?
8. What's the weirdest dream you've had recently?
9. Do you wake up at the same time each day? If so, what time?
10. If you could go back and relive any year of your life, what year would it be? Would you be reliving it in order to fix a mistake you made or just because it was a good point in your life?
11. What is the most recent compliment someone gave you that really made you feel flattered?
