Faded Light Part 2

It's been about a week since Kirishima and Baukgo left the hospital. Since Bakugo was introduced to Kirishima by their teacher, they been talking everyday. Kirishima was now having to learn how to get around the world differently and Bakugo was dead set on learning with him.

Bakugo still wasn't sure how that accident had happened and Kirishima didn't seem to think it was worth mentioning. It kinda drove the blonde crazy. When he first asked, Kirishima just shrugged it off.

Bakugo pokes his head into Kirishima's dormroom and seeing that the other was out of bed, walks in.

Bakugo: "Hey."

The smile Kirishima flashed his way made Bakugo smile.

Kirishima: "Hey Bakugo."

He slowly felt his way through his room towards Bakugo with his feet.

Bakugo: "Where's your cane?"

Kirishima make a pouting face.

Kirishima: "I don't need it in my own room. It's right there."

He jesters to Bakugo's right and there the cane leans against the wall.

Bakugo: "Wouldn't it be good practice?"

Kirishima: "Well, I have to go to my appointment for my lesson. Will you be coming with me today?"

Bakugo: "Yeah that was the plan."

Kirishima: "Would you like to go to the aquarium after?"

Bakugo: "If you want to go, I don't mind."

Kirishima grins more and picks up his cane.

Kirishima: "It's a date."

Bakugo blushes brightly.

Notes on Faded Light AU by @delta-toons : I love Huey. Just the whole turning into a shadow thing is awesome and also the easiest to draw. Dewey is probably my second favorite, and I feel like he's just super confident in his abilities. Louie's, to be completely honest, is not my favorite. It's kind of hard to draw too, but I try...

(Also I feel like Louie would just show off his bones to freak other kids out...?)

Faded Light Part 3

Kirishima walks slowly as he sways his cane in front of him. He focused on this so he is in step with it. Right foot, cane left. Left foot, cane right. He feels a smile tugging on his lips as he starts feeling even more comfortable.

Bakugo watches Kirishima and when he sees him smile, he felt himself relax. It wasn't that he thought Kirishima couldn't do it. It was that he was happy to see the other getting more confident in himself.

At the end of the lesson, Kirishima thanked his O&M instructor and Bakugo and Kirishima were out the door.

Bakugo: "You did great."

Kirishima: "Thanks. I'm glad you came."

Bakugo: "Wouldn't miss a chance of being with you."

Kirishima's cheeks heat up a bit then teases Bakugo.

Kirishima: "It's just for the aquarium, isn't it."

Bakugo: "Ooh yeah, let me tell you."

Bakugo teased back.

Kirishima laughs softly and reached his arm out.

Bakugo took his arm as they walked up some stairs and into the aquarium.

Faded Light

Bakugo sits in a hospital bed for what felt like forever. He didn't know the kid he had helped get here. Didn't know much about him. He'd seen him around school a couple times, but never spoken to him.

Bakugo had been about to leave class and head home when he heard a loud crash from the room next door to his class. He ran into the hallway in time to see a small group of teens running out of the classroom and out of the building. He raised a brow and pushed open the classroom door to see glass all over the floor and a large bookshelf overturned. Under the bookshelf had been another student. His head was bleeding heavily.

Bakugo had ran over and pulled him from under the heavy shelf as carefully as he could. His hands hurt like crazy. It was his shouts of pain that got the attention of a teacher. Bakugo didn't remember much after that. Just getting to the hospital with the teacher help. He was then also rushed to the back when the doctors noticed Bakugo's hands were burnt. The only thing that had come to mind was that it had to be chemical burns.

The teacher had left to make some calls and Bakugo couldn't stop thinking about the other. He stares at his wrapped hands, wondering what had happened.

He looks up when a doctor walks in.

Bakugo: "Will he be okay?"

Doctor: "Your friend is stable now. It's good you found him when you did. Like you, he has burns on his hands, but he also has major burns around his eyes and unfortunately they too were heavily damaged as well. It's unlikely that he'll be able to see when he wakes up."

Bakugo stares at the doctor and when he went to speak the doctor lifted his hand.

Doctor: "Kirishima will be fine. Try not to think about it."
