Finally getting the hang of a (more or less) regular update schedule again! I've got 10 more chapters left to write, so I'll upload a new chapter once or twice a week because I fully intend on finishing this fic before October/November 2026.

I also got a new computer which makes typing way nicer! My fingers don't hurt as much when I type for long now, which I'm very grateful for.

We're at around 28k words- I'm so glad people have decided to give this fic a chance, I'm incredibly grateful :)

If you're new, this is a violinist!Kirishima x pianist!Bakugou orchestra high school AU, featuring very cool pieces and a really cutthroat music program, if that's your jam. I've really enjoyed softening Bakugou's attitude towards Kirishima over the fic and exploring the ways both of them have grown since meeting each other. Also, Ashido Mina, need I say less?? Hey i was reading through some of your mha critiques mainly of bakugou/bkdk and it has me wondering If there's any mha ships you like?

I used to be quite the Kiribaku shipper back in the day, but I've gotten way more critical of it nowadays. I still like them honestly, but more in a missed potential way rather than what's actually canon. The only other ship I like is Kamijirou, and although I don't think it's without flaws, I appreciate that their relationship like actually develops, considering the fact that they have like 5 minutes of screentime together.

I'm pretty neutral on most MHA ships. Mostly because it feels like most of the friendships are underdeveloped for me to care about romantic relationships. But there are a few I'm partial to.

RodyDeku is actually one of them. Their dynamic is cute and fun.

I like TodoDeku too. I prefer their friendship but if there was anyone I would want Izuku with it would be Todoroki.

MomoJirou is always a win. I wish we got to see more of their relationship. I don't dislike KamiJirou by any means, but I gravitate towards MomoJirou more.

I actually don't hate KiriBaku if you can believe it. Early KiriBaku had a pretty good foundation. And Kirishima, while he did admire Bakugou, was also the only one to call him out on his behavior. That did fade out as the story went on but I think had things been handled differently I would have liked it more.

I also surprisingly don't dislike EraserMic, though I will admit it's mostly fanon influence rather than canon interaction. In canon they're pretty boring, but fanon's done a lot of interesting things with them that I can see their potential.

The real truth is that I'm open to anything that isn't BakuDeku or TogaChako (outside of certain circumstances, my relationship with their dynamic is complicated). I can't think of any popular ships outside of those two that I have a real disdain for

✦kirishima chews rly loud. he says it makes the food taste better.

✦bakugo refuses to shop online. if he can go and touch the thing with his own two hands, he's 10000% doing that no matter how inconvenient it is.

✦kirishima's hardening makes his skin rly dry so he's always got hand cream with him. when you first meet him, he buys the really cheap stuff that doesn't work all that well. you notice, and done day you casually recommend your favorite brand. it's a little more expensive, but whoa. it works so much better. plus... it smells like you. and... tbh that's the part he likes best.

✦bakugo paces when he talks on the phone. not idle pacing either. I'm talking hard stomps. it's worse when he's on the phone with his mom. if it's you or kiri on the other end, the pacing softens up a bit, but holy shit it bugs the crap out of you when his stomps rattle through the room for the 10000th time in a row.

✦kirishima feels rly guilty that you do all the cooking in the house. your food is awesome, and he always makes sure to thank you by doing all the dishes after every meal, but... sometimes he just wants to spoil you with good food, you know? he buys all the ingredients (well... most of them. he always manages to forget one or two...) and when you get home he insists you rest in the living room while he cooks. but he still pops his head in every few minutes to ask questions he totally could have googled himself, like, "how do you know when the veggies are done steaming?" and "how much corn startch should I use for the sauce?" and, honestly, half the time, you wind up at the stove with him, conducting a mini cooking lesson so he'll know for next time. and... well. he never remembers most of what you teach him, cause he spends most of that time just... sorta looking at you.

✦bakugo gets weird abt taking medications. not to like, a life-threatening degree or anything, but he won't take pain-killers or sleep aids unless it's really serious. banana tea is his go-to when he can't sleep. you think he's gone nuts the first time you catch him boiling whole ass bananas in the middle of the night, but then he pours you some and god damn. it's the best sleep you've had in ages.
