Pleasepleasepleaseplease!”*Saudade laughs and tries calming him down*Saudade: “We know buddy... Keefe doesnt currently hand hands so sometimes things like dining or carrying things are very... scruffy. Literally, if keefe needs to pick someone up like a cat monster, he’s done the mother cat thing and gently grabbed them by the scruff of their neck!”*Keefe blushes, embarassed by the fact being told*Keefe: “H-hey!, th-at wasss a seecret!”*Saudade smiles*Saudade: “It’s not that big of a deal, other monsters don’t have hands, like Vulcan!”Saudade: “Hmmm if I had a wish,I’d probably wish for a side pocket to my field bag that could recieve things from others. It can be a hassle even though it has an absurd amount of space...**Saudade pulls out a set of skis and a snowboard*“But I can’t get anything i don’t add to it..., like mail, that would be very handy!”

(( Headcanon[s] for the word zugzwang? :0c ))

((Well done on picking a word I had to Google. xP

Chara didn’t really understand the concept of zugzwang, of being in a position where you’d prefer not to act but can’t - this is largely because pretty much from their earliest memories to the Fall, movement and quick reactions kept them alive. The idea that not acting might be the best action was simply alien to them.

They kept this general attitude up while growing up with the Dreemurrs. The Buttercup Incident was the result.

It took time and work with Toriel before they really learnt to have patience - ironically, they first started to grasp the concept in sparring. (Chara learns best when they can iterate quickly on ideas - and what Toriel lacks in agility, she more than makes up for in precision and technique.)

They’ve yet to really be put in a position where they’d prefer not to act but have to, but I imagine they’ll have a minor breakdown if and when it happens.))

💔 "HEY." Fade's expression was serious. They had their arms crossed and their stance rigid as they stared Chara down. They clear their throat, and, with the straightest possible face they could manage, they ask: "What happens when you witness a ship wreck?"
