"Don't Chase the Rabbit" - Jonghyun
Send me “Don’t chase the rabbit” and your muse will be shown a random memory from my muse’s past.
"Jonghyun-ah, where are you going?" His mother entered the room running and trying to hold the luggage over his bed but Jonghyun was stronger and were able to avoid her hold and put it down on the floor, looking at her with a firm, almost hard expression.
"I am leaving, mom." With a sigh, he communicated his mother, surprisingly much more calm than he expected himself to be. He was decided and there was no way of him going back on his decision. Not now, not ever. "If my opinion means nothing in this house I am leaving to somewhere I can think by myself and do the things as I wish."
"J-Jonghyun-ah, please don’t do that, stay— I will talk to your father!"
"And you think he’ll change his mind? Mom, I love you, okay? I really can accept a lot of the things both of you tell me to do and I never did anything against your will." He raised a finger and pointed to the several prizes he had on his shelf because of school. "But" A pause was needed, his eyes never leaving his mother’s. "I simply can’t agree with a marriage. If you and dad want to make a link between the two companies so go find another way. I am out of this."
And with that, Jonghyun picked up his luggage again and walked out of his room, fastening his steps to the entrance so he could be free as soon as possible of that place. He didn’t want to fight his mother, he didn’t want to face his father. That was a nightmare, honestly, but he knew after a good sleep everything would be left behind.
"So where are you going to do?" The old female asked him from his room, and he simply stopped moving, his sight locked anywhere in front of him, refusing to look back because he knew if he did, it’d be harder to walk out that door.
"I am going to Seoul and I am going to study. You and dad can’t disturb my studies so please don’t even try doing that. I am asking you, mom. Leave me alone to live my life." The hold on the bag’s strap tightened for a moment when he swallowed hard, having never talked like that with none of his parents. But now it was definitive. Jonghyun opened the door of his house and stepped outside, pursing his lips together before turning around and bowing his mother briefly.
