Once Nathaniel finished exploring his room, he left to explore the rest of his apartment. When he arrived there had been no one there, and as he looked around, he didn’t get the sense that anyone else was present. However, he noted that there was another bedroom, indicating that this was apartment meant for two. Therefore, he assumed that there would be someone else living with him. Who this person would be remained a mystery, and Nathaniel wasn’t sure if he was receptive to this idea.

For the moment he pushed his worries to the back of his mind, instead focusing his time and attention on exploring the living room, followed by the kitchen. The apartment had a very homey feel, though it felt out of place to him. When he looked around he had been expecting something a bit...fancier, though where that assumption came from, he had no idea.

As he looked around the kitchen, he heard the sound of a door opening. Poking his head out, he noticed that someone arrived. Was this his roommate?

“...hello?” He stepped out, feeling apprehensive as he slowly moved towards the front door.

Savage beasts were one thing, but it was difficult to see in the fog of this forest. His strategy for now was to listen for the beasts, and strike to parry an ambush once they came in proximity. When a safe place could be found he he had no clue, but he had someone he stumbled across in his travel of this strange island. He had gathered as much his name was Loki from their introductions, and offered a helping hand. He was glad he made this call; the other seemed terribly anxious and while he was as well, he seemed to forget it while in the “leader” position. Casting blood off of his sword before sheathing it as the most recent beast fell, he turned to check on the other. 

❝ Are you alright? You’re doing well. ❞ he encouraged earnestly. ❝ I can’t tell what time of day it is with this fog, but we should secure food and find somewhere safe to rest. Even I can run out of stamina. ❞

A strange place to end up in all he recalls.

How’d he get here, he’s not exactly sure but if has a whole place to himself for the meantime, he’s not going to complain. Though as much as won’t admit to it, he feels like something’s missing in this place. He’d probably just say it’s boredom anyway. He does decide to leave his apartment and explore a bit for himself. Maybe going out for some coffee would do him some good. He could’ve waited till the night to explore the town’s night life, but maybe some quiet time in a cafe would help. At least he didn’t need to hear a familiar ruckus of a certain someone.

Though eventually his thoughts were cut short upon entering the shop and finding an all too familiar face, not that he was glad about that or anything.

“Thought I was the only one of us here.”
