Daivi spent maybe 20 minutes looking for her number match. Wrongly she had assumed male forgetting that it was a completely random match up. When she had approached every guy not paired up she realised her match must have been a woman. After a quick five minutes she found a brunette with the same number as her. “Hi, sorry I took so long to find you. I’ll admit I wasn’t expecting to be paired with a woman. That’s my own fault.” @orchestralcollage
A singles mingle sounded ridiculous but Sessile knew both the Queen and Princess were going and that was something she wanted to witness. They had gotten use to all of the oddities of this world but not when her own were involved. It was like watching a new TV show and she couldn’t help herself.
She gathered her number and grabbed a drink before looking at the paper in her hands, “six huh?” She muttered to herself, looking around. Getting the attention of the nearest person, they asked holding up their number, “Any luck finding your partner for the night?”
It was time to stop being a recluse, Nash could acknowledge that much. So when she heard about the singles thing she figured why not? What was the worst that would happen? She’d walk out of there with a weird story to tell to the pack? She looked over the card as it was put in her hands and decided to avoid the bar to do a lap and see if she could spot her match.
Catching sight of the number 15, a small smile found her mouth. Relief flooded through her, some part of her had thought with her luck she’d end up being the only person left standing alone. Approaching the other, Nash held her number up, “so how do we do this?”
Obsidian fought every instinct to pull on the sleeves of her new sweater, wearing something loose wasn’t something she did often. It was her signature move to hid behind her looks, showing skin was her version of armor. This look was new for her and she was a bit nervous about her mother’s reaction, Sid had spent the entire time getting ready coming up with excuses on why she had picked this outfit.
When she walked through the door and received the number 1, it served as a little reminder that she was better than the small anxieties that were poking at her mind. She shook her hair back out of her face and held her head high. Now was the time for confidence and nothing less. She asked a couple people if they had or had seen someone with her number until she was pointed in the right direction. She smiled at the other as she approached, flashing her card. “I hear you might be my match for the night?”
Cosmo looked up from the table as he saw the young woman approach. He stood up quickly, knocking the chair back as he did. “Hi. Hi!” he said as he went about picking the chair up, “my friend said you are supposed to give people flowers today, so I got you these” he said taking the small bouquet of mixed purple and blue hyacinths off the table and holding it out to her. “I’m Cosmo.”
Lucas looked at his ticked. Number 13. Great. Not that he was superstitious. He tended not to be but there were some things that his mother had instilled in him that he couldn’t shake. He glanced around, listening to people as he walked, look and listening for any appearance of the number. He heard someone ask what number someone had and turned his head when they replied 13.
He frowned a little as he recognised the face. He was sure they had met before. Heading over once they were alone Lucas held his number up. “Number 13? I think you and I are matched. We’ve met before, right?” @ofcoretanima
