FIN is 'feminine in nature', MIN is 'masculine in nature', POIN is 'polygender in nature' {also multigender in nature iirc?}, NUIN is 'null in nature', AGIN is 'agender in nature'

i don't have the spoons right now to explain gender natures, but as far as our tagging system goes, we use these as shorthands for stuff like 'feminine' 'null' 'male' and whatnot to make searching easier

they were put on that post specifically in reference to things traditionally feminine role in relationships. so a bit of a stretch in terms of like, dictionary accuracy, but best way i could think to do it within our tagging system

was just wondering how you'd& do theses tags cause we were redoing our tag system on FTJ.

i was going to consolidate "tallys templates" and "tallys resources" (the tag for the actual flag assets) into one tag, do you think i should keep them separate? asking you& because i like how you tag things lol

We'd personally merge them. When we reblog your flag asset posts, we tag them with flag templates, so.

hey, not offended just wondering!

why do you tag our posts with gun tw? i mean i know its because of the crosshairs, but i was wondering why that counts for a gun when theres no actual guns visible?

It's 'cause of the crosshairs. I think we put the two tags together to save tag space, especially on those xcrosshair terms which are not-uncommonly in posts with a ton've terms and hit tag limit easy. Not 100% sure, memory barriers and all that

If there's demand, we can separate out crosshair imagery from guns themselves

are alt texts sufficient for flag ids or does it HAVE to be on the post itself? i havent had many spoons to add ids to flags since we started coining but i wanted to go through and add them :) what do you think? ty in advance!!

This is something you'll get a lot of differing answers about. We used to think it needed to be put in the post itself, these days we're just glad so long as ID is present and not under a cut or jn a linked post. Tumblr is a spaghetti code website so I think it's a bigger debate on here than on other places, but we don't really have other social medias so I'm not fully certain on that. I think it's probably fine to be in the alt text, but we do not use a screenreader and are not an authority on this
