Arthur has a weird way of flirting- 😂✨
Arthur always found Shinra to be quite attractive, and it was no surprise to the knight when he figured out his feelings for the devil. Yet, he knew it would be hard to get his point across to the man with flaming ruby eyes. So, began the tale of Arthur's flirting.
His first attempt was when they were fighting a heard of infernals in the Company 7th's district. Shinra happened to have trouble with one of them as they were clinging to him from his back, only to have Arthur suddenly slicing through it saying, 'Knights like me always have to protect hasty devils like you.' That day, Arthur returned to the Company 8th's headquarters with a punch mark on his face. Arthur did wonder what exactly caused that reaction out of Shinra, he was clearly expecting the line he said to be very romantic. Nevertheless, he decided to try again. When Obi sent the duo to Company 5 to give Hibana some important information that they received on the White Clad, Shinra happened to trip over a stone. Before he could tumble to ground, smacking his face onto the pavement, Arthur swiftly caught him by the waist saying, 'Don't worry, knights always catch clumsy devils, no matter how unattentive they are.' That definitely earned a kick to his face. Hibana really did resist the urge to laugh at the pathetic state his face was in upon seeing the two. Yet, Arthur still didn't understand what he was doing wrong
Over the past couple of days, Arthur tried various approaches, but all of them ended up in him getting whacked multiple times by Shinra, and not a single one his attempts was getting through him to realise the feelings Arthur has for the hot-headed guy. Arthur was desperate and miserable. He was getting nowhere with these tactics. Sighing to himself, he heard Shinra calling him to spar.
Whenever they sparred together on the top of their headquarters, Arthur was filled with an adrenaline rush, and this fueled him to fight better, not that he'd tell Shinra this. He decided to put his feelings aside and concentrated on their match. Luckily for him, Shinra seemed to have left his guard down for a moment, allowing Arthur to effectively pin him down. He grinned at Shinra, allowing his victory to sink in till he heard Shinra groan in pain. He immediately stood up to find Shinra's leg bleeding. Concern washing over him, he decided that the best action right now would be taking Shinra to the infirmary to patch up the wound. Grabbing him in princess style, Shinra's arms clung around his neck due to the sudden gesture as Arthur headed towards the door that lead to the stairs, only to have Shinra flabbergasted and saying, 'What the hell are you doing?' Arthur stopped and stared into Shinra's eyes, mesmerized by how beautiful they were. Shinra, flustered by Arthur's actions, snapped, 'Hey, what are you looking at?' Arthur replied in a calm voice, 'You. I'm looking at you. After all, knights always take care of their princesses, and I'm taking care of mine.'
Shinra had no idea what Arthur was saying till he rewinded his words inside his head. Shinra's face heated up so fast, you could have mistaken it for a tomato. He buried his face into Arthur's chest, mumbling on how stupidly cute that sounded. Arthur glad that Shinra finally noticed his 'flirtation techniques', gave him a quick peck on his nose. The rest of the journey to the infirmary was filled with an embarrased but blushing Shinra, barking at how stupid Arthur was and a blissful Arthur thinking about the prospect of them become boyfriends in the near future. 💕
