(that one time he said “flock off featherface” and acted like it was the best damn joke he ever made. but no, seriously, probably the end of dmc 3. they did a surprisingly amazing job of portraying his conflict — his brother’s off the deep end, straight through the point of no return, but damnit he still cares. and when his brother rejects him in one fell swoop, gone for good, he goes back empty handed with not a dime to his name again, still trying (and failing) to be the tough guy even though he damn well knows he’s not. man it just— gets me right there. i won’t lie, capcom games are written by chimpanzees banging their heads on the typewriter from infinity to beyond, but they get it right every once in a while. and it’s when that stopped clock is right just once that fuels most of my rping. please, capcom, please. why you gotta do this. flock off featherface comes pretty close though. just saying.)
