Dawn.

With a draw of breath.

A crack of the eyelid

That sunlight beams in

Within moments your eye is blessed

It becomes blessed with the light of today

And the promise of a tomorrow

With each new dawn shows a new tomorrow.

And each tomorrow will promise you a wound to be healed.

That dawn will signify your youth

Your today

And a new beginning for you

Because that light blesses your body and gives you warmth from the heavens.

Damn... I lost my place...

Maybe with the next dawn ill find it

Because that day will be new

It will bring me new words

New experiences

New warmth

And a new blessesing

Maybe ill stop writing poems...

Maybe ill write music

Maybe ill start rapping.

Maybe ill just start drawing

Maybe the next dawn will bring a new me

A new me who is better

Maybe that dawn...

Maybe it'll show me all the answers I've actually been needing

Tomorrows dawn will be glorious and colorful

I can promise this

If you cover my face and look into my eyes, you’ll see years way beyond my age. You wonder how someone so young can be so old, how an old man’s eyes took the place of my own. As tears burn fire through my innocent face, you watch all the people shot in Africa wading through the salt water, determined to scream another hole in my bleeding heart. I sink to my knees with the weight of the dead horses and their shining eyes dancing through bullet-riddled saxophone-pulsing rainbows, hooves shattering laughing skeletons in blonde hair and lipstick. You wonder what you witness as the sun rips through my smile, and you know you’ve just been blinded by a walking scream.
