@veliseraptor @failemyfalcon I was just thinking about the Elan AU and how weird it must be to hang out with Rand when Rand is occupying the body that, however briefly, was Elan’s and--
At first I thought about how intimately Elan must know that body, but then I thought... what if he doesn’t? Like, does Moridin strike you as a particularly physical person?
He’s resurrected, and yeah sure he has a body but it’s probably about as relevant to him as, idk, the shirt he’s wearing, only more annoying because it has needs, like, it needs to be fed and rested and stuff. It’s an inconvenience, he didn’t want it, he doesn’t want it, and now it’s gone and he doesn’t miss it. He’s in something far more familiar, the body he was born in (uh... sort of? I mean my trans!Elan headcanon notwithstanding *handwaves*) except it’s not saturated with True Power, or burned or stabbed by Callandor, it’s... whole, and it’s his, and physically he feels more comfortable than he has in literally thousands of years...
But it’s still kinda weird when Rand -- in that other body -- sleeps next to him in a tiny inn room (where they have to share the bed because literal odd bedfellows is one trope I’ll never tire of) and it’s both a little disturbing but also kinda fascinating -- is that what I looked like? (Or, would have looked like if he’d ever had a good night’s sleep post resurrection, but hey, details.)
