Failtopia ship headcanons: Volume One
Headcanons for my 3 favourite Failboat Miitopia ships. Entirely because two of these have no content on Tumblr and I want to fix that. Will probably make a Volume 2 at some point
Erica/Bo: Noticing how terrible Chi was at reading, Bo started a book club to teach her, and invited Erica along too, for extra support. Erica agreed, genuinely interested in what Bo was doing, but found herself struggling to follow along with Bo’s book selections, while even Chi was managing that much. She still attends the club, though, because it’s Bo.
The time between Bo’s death and the possession of her corpse is almost entirely absent from her memory, and the vague image of the blank void she was essentially trapped in for all those years, barely understanding what was going on, messed with her mind. Now, she imagines Erica every time that void shows itself in her memory banks, and it helps to push it out.
Lanc/Chi: Lanc has received 11 different emergency phone calls from Chi because she drank unstable liquids she created, and even though she knows her girlfriend will somehow be fine, it never fails to make her panic. She wants to complain about this, but has to hold herself back, considering the fact that Chi has received 3 calls of this nature from Lanc.
Even though Lanc removed herself from the kingdom and cut contact with her father, she is still the heir to his throne, and in accordance with this, so is Chi. Everyone is afraid of what that might mean for the Powdered Peaks, but no-one wants to confront it until the day Lanc’s dad drops dead.
Smuk/Rose: The proposal scene in Season 1 was never meant romantically, Smuk just wanted to impress a new friend with the thing she evidently loved most - Expensive shiny things. However, when he actually proposed to Rose, he gave the exact same speech he did back then. Rose laughs about this nowadays, but Smuk always mentions how it certainly worked in the moment.
Rose has attempted to cosplay Smuk a few times, but she’s never finished the costume, nor has she shown it to anyone. She claims this is because she “can’t capture his beauty” but it’s actually because she doesn’t know how his weird green ears work. No matter what she tries, they can’t stay on her head. It doesn’t matter though, because the “can’t capture his beauty” thing is also true in her heart.
