Two good neighbours and I had no choice but to take advantage of the snowfalls of the last few days. Winter so far has been pretty lousy, with rain following snowy weather almost every time. This time it seemed to stick, and we loaded up our gear at drove to @vestvatnalpinanlegg east of Bodø, northern Norway. How were the conditions, you ask? Well, take a look for yourself. The last day on skis of the season, is always a bit sad to me. I REALLY wouldn’t mind snow all year around, but alas, there is little to be done about the earth’s distance from the sun, or the tilt of our planet’s axis. I did have an absolutely faboulous day, where the mountain gave me it’s very best. The weather was lovely, and off-pist in Vestvatn, northern Norway, i was treated with deep slushy conditions. The skis from @failure__s performed really well in this kind of snow, and gave me the confidence to go between trees at fair speeds, something which is lots of fun. Testing out my skis from @failure__s in slushy conditions today. They do perform pretty well in wet snow in a resort-like facility. They’re quite fun in the slushy snow, and work much better in the now than they do on hard/icy conditions.
