Brad and Ethan have been served drugged water. Brad passes out first and Ethan realizes what's going on. He tries to make Brad get up, but it's too late and Ethan passes out as well.
One by one, Brad and Ethan are hypnotized. The hypnotist makes them forget they were drugged or hypnotized, and proceeds to play with them like they're his sleepy toys.

Paul passes out on the Slingshot ride in Magaluf, Spain. His girlfriend is worried, unaware that this happens regularly on the Slingshot. She frantically tries to slap Paul awake.
A few hard slaps to the face bring Paul back to wakefulness. Still woozy, he doesn't seem to know what just happened.

Dracula parallels - Dracula (ITV 1968) & Dracula (Universal 1931).
Out of the adaptations I’ve seen so far, the ITV 1968 is the most obviously and deliberately in conversation with its predecessors, especially the 1931 version.
Lucy is Lucy Weston in both, while she and Dracula share lines with their 1930s counterparts (“I do not drink... wine” and Lucy’s reaction to Dracula: “I find him fascinating!”) Jonathan and Renfield are conflated (although in reverse) - and if you’re casting Denholm Elliott in the title role, you’re definitely going more Bela Lugosi than Christopher Lee (plus they both turn up at Our Heroes houses wearing dinner jackets).
