1. does your OC have a voice claim, if so who?

it's not exact, but in my head fair's voice sounds a lot like this. his voice is meant to be somewhat feminine, but quite coarse/husky and almost sounds like he's spent a lot of his life smoking (though he hasn't).

10. how does your OC handle their mental health? do they take care of themselves?

fair's relationship with his mental health is a little... complicated. i'd say, all things considered, he's quite well-adjusted and stable, but when his mental health starts to decline it spirals very drastically and very quickly; fair at his worst would make malkavians start to worry.

fair does tend to neglect his mental health a bit, but it's largely because he perceives himself as being resilient and able to handle most things, as he's experienced several traumatic events throughout his life. that said, when things start to pile up, that's when he cracks (such as immediately following the events of vtmb). he was diagnosed with ptsd before he was embraced.

23. is your OC reliable? can I call them up at two in the morning if I have a flat tire?

it takes quite a bit of effort to gain fair's loyalty and trust, but once you do he's an incredibly reliable person. definitely the type of person to move heaven and earth to help people when needed.

24. can they play any instruments? if so, what do they play?

fair doesn't play any instruments, and i don't imagine he's a very musically inclined person in general. not a very interesting answer, so i'll give you a fun fact: he studied philosophy and history in university.

sorry for never talking about fair backstory it's because fair himself deliberately conceals his past from people and never goes into more detail than a) he grew up in poverty in the hollywood area and b) he went into foster care as a teenager

11. Has your OC ever been the object of someone's affections that they did not (or could not) reciprocate?

yes: heather, fair's ghoul. heather definitely harbored feelings for fair (which often bordered on idolization), but fair never really returned them for a variety of reasons. primarily, he's gay, and he very much viewed heather with a more.. parental lens? he kind of brushed off her affections in the same way someone would brush off a child having a crush on them. that said: fair did care very deeply for heather and was very protective of her.

12. If your OC were in love, how might they recognise this? Or would they be too much in denial?

i think fair is very aware of who he's Attracted to, but he does struggle to pick out more intense feelings like love. fair is someone who is simultaneously very Intense about everything while also being very Distant from everything, which makes parsing his feelings not the easiest. i think the key thing for recognizing if he's in love is his desire to be vulnerable and genuine to someone. fair is very particular about how others perceive him and how he presents himself, so to feel an urge to approach someone as his Genuine Self and not constantly hide behind a Persona is a pretty good indication he feels veryyy strongly towards someone.

i have a demon au for fair and he maintains a lot of his key characteristics but i think the main difference is that normal fair is motivated by a love for humanity and demon fair is motivated by his hatred for people who would oppose or harm him
